I know the feel. For my first time building a PC, I waited like 3 months before I could order everything.

This is slightly unrelated, but it's crazy how some people spend money on packs for these games.

Yeah folks REALLY seem to love Ultimate Team. Even crazier when you consider the amount you spend on each version doesn't carry over to the next since they revamp the mode every time.

pretty happy with the power consumption. its going in a machine with a 600W PSU. i was thinking that the next gpu upgrade would mean a psu upgrade as well. glad to be wrong about that.

Yep this card actually consumes less than my 560 Ti, and that's with 3 fans on top in the gigabyte one I got. My 560 Ti only has 1 [shitty] fan.

It could, really just depends on how fast the thing can mutate to keep up with all the selection pressures it's put up against. Honestly though I'm not sure how Ebola actually works so I don't know if it can mutate that fast.

I'm looking at the 970. It's considerably faster than the 680, and the price is too good. My 680 is actually doing good, but I don't think it'll stay that way when The Witcher 3 comes out.. The plan is to wait until then and see how it runs but I'm kinda impatient. :P What's really stopping me is that the cards aren't available here yet. :D

I was watching the linus tech tips review and the 780ti was still beating it in a few things.

That 780Ti was OC'd I believe. The skinny with the new Maxwell stuff is the reduced power consumption whilst still getting as good as or better performance than the previous gen Kepler cards.

Anyone else enjoying the slow gaming year and replaying some classics? I'm playing through ancient Diablo and Zelda titles these days :D

I'm so stoked about the new year of television! Just finished Gotham and Agents of SHIELD. Agents of SHIELD was a pretty good start to a show that was really underwhelming for 3/4 of the first season, then ramped up well at the end when the events of Winter Solider came into play. As for Gotham, spoilers below.

And there's still so many shows to watch this year. Arrow S3 and Flash will be awesome, Constantine is looking to nail the character, and then there's a bunch of comedies to keep up. So much to watch.

EDIT: Plus, Doctor Who has been great so far. I've been greatly enjoying the season and Capaldi is just fantastic! Oh! And The Walking Dead will be starting soon! Sure the show has its problems but I still enjoy it greatly!

Oh yeah! Here's what I've been playing lately:

• Xenoblade Chronicles
• The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
• MegaMan X
• Okami HD (finally purchased!)

So much old stuff! Mainly focusing on FFIX today, would like to finally beat it but damn combats are slow. I think I'm right at the end of Disc 3.

I've been going through the first entries of the DragonQuest series, about to start 3, also phantasy star IV.

Supposedly 3 is worlds better than 1 and 2.

Beat MGS4 for the 2nd time today. The first parts of that game suck major ass but holy crap some of the late game sections are amazing.

3 is good, 4 is great, 5 is amazing and a GOAT. 6 is pretty bad, 7 is great, 8 is amazing and a GOAT. 9 is great.

It bothers me when I'm watching a TV show and they say they have only X amount of time to do something, and then it's very obvious that it's taken longer than that amount of time
