@deadline-zero0: are you referring to TC or TC?
The pokemon. Everyone knows Blaziken is better.
tc sucks too
I love Shuckle because he drove my friends nuts when I was using him in battle against them lol with his insanely high defensive stats.
Yeah, I get that. I chose some obscure ones too, although those are genuinely my favorites. :P
Oh, Slowpoke and Bidoof are among my favourites. Way back when in the 1990's when the series first started, I had a lvl 99 Slowbro on my secondary team, and Bidoof was one of my mains for a while in Pearl.
Never played with Mudkip or Sudowoodo though.
The Slows Pokemon look so stupid with that face and that makes them awesome to me.
(Sorry about the tl;dr, but I felt like fleshing out the reasons I chose these 3 a bit more for anyone who's interested)
1) Vaporeon (so useful for both competitive and in-game use... but the reason he's my #1 vote goes far beyond that. I didn't even care for it all that much when I was a kid. But it grew on me so much as an adult a few years ago when I played through Gen 1 again for the first time in well over a decade. I know it sounds stupid, but the bond I had with this little guy during that playthrough, growing him from a little Eevee into a powerhouse helped me remember why I loved Pokemon games to begin with, and made me want to just play the games again instead of only focusing on competitive battling. Pokemon were a huge part of my childhood and I have so many memories playing Pokemon Red on my Gameboy Color raising my Pokemon all the way to level 100. When you decide to take a Pokemon with you on your journey and slowly raise it from being a little weakling you grow a bond with that Pokemon as it gets stronger and stronger and becomes better and better. Vaporeon helped me feel that bond again for the first time in years and for that, it holds a special place in my heart)
2) Mewtwo (His visual design is great, he's incredible competitively especially with his new mega forms, and he has that nostalgia factor as well. There's just a dark vibe to him and the lore surrounding him is unmatched by any Pokemon. He's a clone created by humans who's even more powerful than the original, but learned he was a clone and became uncontrollable and destructive towards humans. He destroyed the lab in which he was created and likely KILLED people. But you were the one to beat the Elite 4 and become Champion, and as your reward you are able to traverse through Cerulean cave and find Mewtwo, the most powerful Pokemon in the game. He was the original powerhouse you saved your masterball for. And the fact that he's still one of the most popular Pokemon to this day even with all of the other crazy good "uber-tier" legendaries out there just shows that he's arguably the BEST Pokemon GameFreak ever designed. While many Pokemon such as Charizard's popularity rides simply on the fact that it's a fire breathing dragon and was a lot of people's first Pokemon, I feel Mewtwo's popularity actually has a deeper story behind it. He's not JUST a Pokemon, he's a character)
3) Ho-Oh (IMO best shiny Pokemon of all time, easily one of the best legend themes in the games, great and versatile competitively in Ubers play. Ho-oh always had a mystique to it being the first legendary ever shown in the TV show before we, or Ash's Pokedex, even knew what it was. And it was the only Pokemon to know the badass move Sacred Fire until Entei recently got it. I played the hell out of Pokemon Gold as a kid and Heart Gold was the first Pokemon game I played as an adult so there's just a certain nostalgia about making your way up that sacred Tin Tower and catching Ho-oh. That scene of Ash catching a glimpse of a glowing Ho-oh soaring through the sky leaving rainbows behind it in the first episode of the anime will forever be engraved in my mind)

I'm not surprised, but when his attack is legitimately that high, I better know what I'm doing since his defense automatically goes down to mediocre.
@psx_warrior: That damage pointed out in the image is not related to his attack's stats, but rather the moves he can pull off while taking advantage of his insanely high defense at the same time.
Charizard is one of the more boring designs in the series. The blue cover on the first 3ds pokemon release is a much elegant piece of work.

Care to elaborate?
@frank_castle: No, people PLAY this highly rated, extremely well made series of games.
And that's fine, just don't see how anyone can still watch the show.
@frank_castle: The thread isn't about the show, though.
The thread doesn't say anything differentiating the show from the games.
It's just about Pokemon in general.
@frank_castle: It's posted on a board about video games, I figured it was obvious.
You're a mod here with one of the largest post counts...have you not seen some of the shit that gets posted here?
I've seen plenty of threads on anime not pertaining exclusively to videogames.
@frank_castle: You should report those when you see them. They're fine as long as they're in OT but if they creep over into other boards they're supposed to be moved or locked down. If in the future you could report them, that'd b e swell.
1. Eevee - I remember getting Eevee on Gold and thinking who should i get? (got a Vaporeon on Blue so i thought on getting another one) so i didn't make it evolve for a while...but as the time passed, Eevee grew on me so much, that i never made it evolve, on my second playtrough i went for a strong Eevee build and man, it became my absolute favorite.
2. Arcanine - Love the design and it was one of my strongest Pokemon on Blue.
3. Squirtle - I like Charizard but he sucks on Smash, and Squirtle is so fun to play in Brawl, besides he is cool and cute.
4. Onix - Don't know, i like its design, it was one of the most badasses original Pokemon even if its stats were kind of bad compared to other Pokemon.
5. Alakazam - Again, another from my very first main team on Blue, this Pokemon did grown on you and Alakazam was one of my heavy hitters.
Edit: Lol, didn't realize this was very old :P oh well, i'll left my post just for the sake of.
