Certainly they aren't second hand games, but I'm not buying a system as powerful as the Playstation 4 just to play indie games. That can be done on the PS3, or the 3DS for that matter. It needs more truly next gen exclusive games IMHO in order for me to be interested in it, and I believe it will at some point. Just not right now. Microsoft's showing looks better to me right now.
Yes for reviving the industry.
No because their consoles aren't exactly my cup of tea anymore. They've done many things right, but in recent years, they're not exactly what they were in the 80s and 90s. I'm probably one of the few old veteran gamers here (36) and I'm willing to admit that. I think people have given them way too much credit, whether its nostalgia or blind fanboyism or other reasons. Nintendo's glory days are long gone and I've gotten over that and simply moved on.
Same here. I'm 40, though, and I cut my teeth on Atari 2600. I remember very well that glory days of Nintendo when all the great third party games were on their system. It's all different now, and Nintendo's struggling to keep up, but at the same time, they are keeping with gameplay is king, which I really like. It's not all about cut scenes or qte's when you play a Nintendo game. In fact, their portfolio of games is truly stellar-if only they would bring more of those games to the console instead of just the handheld. How about a great Fire Emblem game, or heavan help us all, a main line Pokemon game like X and Y, or another great Metroid Prime game? Jeez, they have so many great franchises of their own that they don't even release a quarter of the games for on their console. Would help Wii U out a lot. They gotta realize that they need to support their console as much as their handheld if they want it to suceed.
I very much respect them, but I do feel that they need to change their image a little and try to win third party developers over to their system. From what I've seen, Wii U is a nice system. The fact that you can add as much storage space as you want with external hard drives is a total plus, IMHO. My opinion of Mario 3D World is changing too. It really does look like it's gonna be a great Mario game. I only wish that Nintendo would do more to bring 3rd party games in. It would be wonderful if Nintendo could get most of those indie games coming to the other two systems on their machine. Would help them out a lot I think. Honestly, of the big three, Nintendo is the only one actually focused on real gameplay and not QTEs, interactive movies, or fps games all the time. I love a good fps game, but how about some variety.
In reality, I wish all those kinds of games were on Nintendo's system and complimenting Nintendo's own games. It's nice to have CoD along side Mario. Hmm, CoD and Mario...Maybe I don't need a PS4 or Xbone. Dang, I'll still need to get one of them because of KH3 and FF XV!!! Guess the One it is because I do like me some Halo.
Agreed. I bought a Lumia 521 with no contract with T-Mobile to try the phone out for a month. I've had a Note 2 since February. I can safely say now that I wished I had gone with a Lumia 920 with US Cellular because I can do stuff on it I never could with the Note 2. Heck, taking notes on the 521 is so much easier than on the Note 2! The puny windows phone beats the mighty Note 2 at its own game! One note lets me take a note and simply pin it to the start screen. It even lets me make a check list by each individual line if I want. I can't tell you the hoops I have to go through on the Note 2 just to take a note and save it. Then pull that same note back up. The S pin is overrated. It's so much easier to manage contacts through wp8 as well. You can group different contacts up and pin that group to the start screen and see only what they are posting to different social networks. It's just so much better than Android will ever be. I'm leaving Android behind for the Windows Phone.
Forgive the wordiness of my post here. It's late where I'm at so I'm about to fall asleep.
