STREET FIGHTER 5 - PS4 & PC ONLY!! [[Updated]]

That's what I though. Then so is this game, which makes sense, after all SONY is current gen 8 console leader with PS4. :D

Sony fans will still get this on their PCs right.

The graphics looks a little bit better but not much for this current gen. Also will people buy it on day one or will they wait for a 10th version of the game?

Ryu from IV looks disgusting now compared to the new one.

Nope this is announced as PC and PS4 out the gate......TR is exclusive to XB1 out the gate. ( but we all know later it will hit other platforms )

My favorite genre is fighting games and this is actually a big deal if true. The Xbox version of most fighting games were used at tournaments last gen. I'm willing to bet that a lot of people, including tournament organizers put their eggs into one basket with the Xbone, obviously not expecting this. Now the biggest fighting game tournament in the world(EVO) will have to fork over a lot of money for PS4's to even have SFV at their event and every tournament player will buy a PS4. Smart move by Sony? Absolutely. I can play it on PC if I want, but on top of Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, a possible Crash game, and SFV? The PS4 is starting to look delicious.

The new models @Gue1 posted look great! Yeah it may not look like a huge technical leap but it does a great job of advancing the models while keeping their signature looks.

If true this is a huge loss for X1... Street Fighter remains the premeir fighting game, despite some of the fighting game ranking opinions I see on this thread.

I love MK just as much as the next guy... but Street Fighter it is not.

If I recently went and bought an xbone I'd be looking for the nearest customer service counter and begging for my refund. Lems trying to scoff at this as if they can just brush this under the rug aren't fooling anyone.

Lems made a HUGE deal out of Tomb Raider when Sony has an exclusive counterpart that has received far more critical praise...But Street fighter! It is the most well known and renound fighting franchise in existence, there is NO replacement or substitute. If true this completely buries that Tomb Raider timed exclusive announcement.

MS is just sitting on their ass while Sony winding up delivering death blows...lems in here damage controlling like:

and the PSX Event hasn't even started yet. lol, at the people who bought the xbone for that broken past gen collection of Halo games, that was a very very costly error in judgement.

@AcidTango: Any figther entusiast will get it on the first day, we all know the vanilla version plays entirely different than the last version, if you were really good in SF4 and suddenly plays Ultra SF4, chances are that you will need some time to learn and adapt and then you migth get good again...maybe.

Indeed plus it's a multiplat and we all know what SW has to say about 360/PC & X1/PC mutiplats......... I'll play the superior version on mah super gaming mega PC. :P

I LOVE seeing these companies fighting for (console) exclusivity in this day and age! Makes me reminisce the days of olde.

And what are you talking about? SF4 was way more popular on PS3 they both ran the same . Not to mention both Saturn and Dreamcast were DOA after the first year they barely got any fighting games.

This is just about as big a megaton as we are going to see. I never once thought this would ever happen. One of the all time biggest competitive franchises is console exclusive to PS4... I'm super excited for this.

Tomb Raider will be on 360 too, so it's multiplat right out of the gate.

Hmm im calling this a japan console exclusive it doesn't make much sense really. no arcade release ?. the last sony only street fighter was street fighter EX3 (awesome game). im happy that a street fighter 5 is on the way. you know this will be playable at evo next year. my pc is fully capable to run this game i cant wait

I'm not into fighting games but It's pretty cool that the PS4 will dominate the competitive fighting scene now.

I'm curious what the deal behind this game is. This has been hinted at for over a year now and doesn't seem to be a move of desperation like the Tomb Raider deal was. There's a strong chance that Sony helped fund the game. I know Sony is co-developing a game with Capcom, but not sure if this is it.

Seeing how the X1 is out of the picture i expect PS4/PC will have crossplay.

There are MUCH better fighting games out there than Street Fighter. And the milkage of the SF series by Crapcom is absolutely disgusting.

Street fighter is definitely among the best. What did you have in mind? Virtua Fighter? Guilty gear?

While i agree that the Tomb Raider deal was fucking shit in screwing over people, taking away a multiplat is not a good way to counter, specially when Sony said they don't buy exclusivity.

Regradless, you are correct about timed. SF5 will come to xb1, and every other platform, has the "ultra cheese and nachos edition" 10 months latter.

Sony already got Guilty Gear Xrd exclusive for PS4, and PS3 only.
