I know you are trying to defend consoles which is fine but you don't have to make up lies to do it. A $1500 PC is factually not obsolete after 12 months, It still runs games great. If you mean it is no longer the newest, then consoles are obsolete by that definition the day they release, let's try to stick to facts here please. My PC is 3 years old and I still run every major game on the market that I play great.

I was simply using his logic. In reality neither are obsolete and you can enjoy them for years to come.

I dont really see a reason to be particularly concerned. Considering how long Sony supported the PS4 even after the PS5 released, I dont think a PS5 pro will be necessary, the PS5 default will still be supported until the PS6 comes.

A 980 can still run most modern games. Usually meeting minimum requirements.

Considering the state of AAA games, I don't see a reason to upgrade my 1070 in a long time. Especially now that Dragon's Dogma 2 was allegedly a disappointment.

I love my Switch, playing it almost exclusively while my PC is getting repairs.

Will still vastly outclass any console.

Being able to upgrade whenever one pleases, is way better than having the pace of our upgrades be dictated by a console manufacturer.
