It depends on FPS target vs graphics details i.e.

Box 1 = 40 fps at 1080p

Box 2 = 60 fps at 1080p

Box 1 has to lower resolution or graphic details for 60 fps target. Box 2 has about 50 percent more power than Box 1 i.e. 60 fps / 40 fps = 1.5 or 50 precent more power (for CU bounded workloads).

I only picked on Cow's mismatch PC hardware selection i.e. I selected the closest PC relative to X1 when it comes to working/active CU count, clock speed and memory bandwidth.

I'm consistent when comes to the general PS4 > X1.

If "7860" with 18 CUs at 800Mhz has 1080p at 60 fps target, the prototype 7850 with 12 CUs at 860Mhz has to lower either graphics details or resolution. There is no secret sauce.

As someone who finds human behavior and psychology very interesting, I find the desire to prove anything here hilarious. I agree with that Penello quote to a big degree. I cant tell a huge difference in all this resolution mumbo jumbo, when I'm playing a fvckin video game. And I really doubt most people can.

"Call of Duty: Ghosts runs at 1080p resolution on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Infinity Ward has said.
