Rate this gens consoles on a scale of 10.

PS3: 10/10

Of the few games the PS3 has great games, MGS4, GT5P, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank to name a few. The console is also reliable with free online and the console doesn't break down after a year of use.

XboX 360: 9/10

One of the best consoles I have ever owned. The 360 is stacked with great games and play host to tons of AAA 3rd Party games as well as first. The console has its reliability issues, but when it's working the games make up for the RROD machine. Online may be expensive, but I sure do love me some DLC.

Well, now that I took care of this gens console line-up you guys rate the consoles from this gen and tell me their pros and cons for you.

One of my favorite consoles ever. The only flaws are the lack of amazing rpgs and ofcourse the RROD.

I'm pretty sure the 360 is .5 better than the other two. :P

Currently:
360: 10/10 (incredible line-up of games)
Wii: 10/10 (Smash Bros Brawl. And Super Mario Galaxy. And Fire Emblem. And Metroid Prime 3. Pure awesomeness.)
PS3: 6/10 (not enough solid exclusives yet)

Based on what is coming in the future:
360: 11/10 (Fable 2, Gears of War 2, Star Ocean 4, TALES OF VESPERIA, my face is going to melt)
Wii: 11/10 (Tales of Symphonia 2. Enough said. I'm thinking of rating this to a 17/10, but I think the 11/10 proves my point enough)
PS3: 11/10 (God of War 3, since the ending of GoW2 was absolutely incredible, Final Fantasy 13, Final Fantasy vs 13)
PC: How do you draw an infinity symbol? I can't figure out how to flip the 8 on its side. Anyways, infinity out of 10. (Diablo 3, which they have done PERFECTLY!!! And Starcraft 2 = WOOOOW. And of course Wrath of the Lich King expansions, which I absolutely love. And OF COURSE Spore!!!)

I love games now more than I ever have. We have some incredible games already out and some even more incredible games coming soon. I've been gaming for who knows how many years, and I predict that easily over half of my top 10 list will be changed within the next 2 or 3 years. :D

I only own 360 and Wii, sooooo....

Wii: 8/10. Fun, reliable, great first party, only downside is the thrid party support has been weak until recently.

360: 7/10. It's like this really fun, addictive game, but it crashes every half an hour. That sums my feelings on it.

PS3 = 8/10 - Lacks coverage in certain genres & didn't have enough games prepare for the features in 2.4 and was late to add the features included

Xbox 360 = 8/10 - Hardware and disk scratching problem, live isn't worth the price

Wii = 8/10 - I don't like the huge emphasis on motion controls, I don't like the friend code system for online

from my experience they're all great systems

PS3 - 7/10 It's starting to get going, but still lacks "must have" exclusives aside from MGS4 as of right now. Blu-ray for $400 is a steal and it is easily the most savvy of the consoles but lacks in exclusivity and online. I see the PS3 becoming a much better system in coming years though.

XBOX 360 - 9/10 Easily the best system. The best online and the best exclusives as a whole in my opinion. Not horribly expensive at $350. Only real problem is the hardware failures, but those were largely adressed in the newer 360s plus there's no cost to fix the RROD.

Wii - 4/10 I'm just being brutally honest. I had a Wii and recently sold it. It just sat there. I even had some of the best games for it such as Brawl, SMG, SPM, MP3 plus downloaded classics. The Wii's online is horrendous, and the third party titles are laughable. Allbeit the Wii is an excellent party console, but again being brutally honest it's not good for anything else.

Wii: 7/10, other than the amazing first party games and a select few 3rd party games, it's highly dissapoiting. The graphics are last gen, and most of the best games barely use motion sensing, horriblebang for your buck (250 euros for last gen graphics, when the premium 360 costs 270 euros).

PS3: 8.5/10, great hardware, nice blu-ray, great graphics, good online (needs some improvements though), some excellent games, though I hope we can get some more games soon, great bang for your buck.

Xbox360: 9/10, great console, awesome games, XBL is great, great line-up, just wish it didn't cost 50 bucks for live and the hardware was better, good bang for your buck.

PC: 10/10 Great hardware (for me ;)), best games, best online, best line-up, best system, best bang for your buck (only if you buy the parts yourself).

I know I shouldn't have put PC, but whetever. I own all four by the by.

pros: most diverse library out of the three.

cons: reliability issues

wii: 6/10

pros: Has the best exclusive library.

cons: bad online, third party support, and dated hardware.

ps3: 6/10

pros: reliable. Future for PSN is looking up

cons: no really big exclusives aside from MGS4. Inferior multiplats in some cases.

Xbox 360: 8.0

I'd say PS3 - 8 - Great Hardware, not enough games, PSN isn't up to stratch yet.

360 - 8 - Great games, Great Online, Hardware is definately poorer than PS3 (not graphics quality)

Wii - 7 - The whole point of my post was to give all consoles the same score and show they each ahve good and bad things but the Wii... From a hardware point of view it is good. For its cost its up to stratch. Gamewise their are some good ones it'll still be pushing out 1 or 2 great games a year for the rest of its lifetime. And most users (NA and Europe) bought and don't play very often.

Eh... better luck with the damage control next time. Wii is as much this gen as the 360 as the PS3, even if you say it isn't.

I haven't been impressed so far with this generation of consoles.

PS3=8.5 Pros: Reliable and has a lot of games coming that I'm interested in. Cons: Not enough topnotch exclusives and inconsistent multiplats.

360=7.0 Pros: A library of good exclusive games and the best on-line experiance thus far. Cons: RRoD and not enough interesting games for the future, IMO.

Wii=4.0 Pros: It's cheap and the remote is the only true next gen. remote. Cons: Loads of garbage games, "cheap" graphics, and very little 3rd party support.

ps3:9/10

Wii: 8.5 By FAR the best exclusives. Lacks multiplats.

360: 9 Best online, best overall library (exclusives + multiplats, imo). RRoD and $50/online are cons.

PS3: 8 Free online, MGS 4, some really good games in the future. Cons: price and lack of games in its first year.

loved halo 3, gears, bioshock, mass effect. cant wait for banjo me2, gears 2 and so on.

only dissappointments. 50 bucks a year for live, over priced accessories, and i got rrod twice.

ps3 8.5/10

i just got one so i cant judge much. i got rfom and 08 the show. i need to get my hands on the other exclusives. but i played demos for uncharted (really good graphics), rachet (pixaresque feel), motorstorm was ok for a demo, and haze sucked for a demo but has decent graphics.

psn is a little slow for wireless downloads (about 2 hours for a demo for me) compared to 360 wireless dl which takes 30 minutes tops. so i put ethernet in and that helped. (my network gets about 20mb dl and 1.5 mb ul.) (i tested on my ps3 with the browser wireless it got about 1.5mb dl with ethernet it got about 6mb dl)

the future with the ps3 looks fun while 360 will still be great.

All of you who say Wii isn't a great console please read this. It has the best first party support out there, online may be no that great but still playable (Mario Kart). Also it's great if you have friends to play with like SSBB and Boom Blox (probably the most fun I've had with any game). The wii isnt for competetive gamers that need to be the best or must win every game it's to have fun and have a good time. I admit i was going to sell my wii earlier on when i got it and I'm glad i didn't. I play it every day for the new games such as mario galaxy, resident evil, metroid prime 3, mario & sonic at the olympics, mario kart, boom blox and for the old like super mario 3, donkey kong country, super mario world, super metroid etc. The games library is very big you just have to open your eyes.

xbox 360- 9/10
I'm still stuck on Halo 3, limitless game types and options. Phenomenal online also

PSP=needs more better games not ports=most psp exclusive games end up on ps2 no need for a psp= 3/10

ps1= gave us some great games= had lots of new fresh games best system over all= 10/10

well.. lets just take a look at the wii's AAA', all IMO of course

brawl: not a huge improvement over melee, not worth 50 bucks

smg- fantastic game, best game on the wii

no more heroes: great game

some other big games that i would potentially buy for it:

TP: OoT rehash with waggle

mario kart wii: complete rehash with waggle

metroid prime 3: fantastic game, but i disagree with people who say that this controls better than a m/k or even a dual analog

overall, the wii would have benefitted much more from standard controls and comparable graphics than waggle IMO.

games like MP3, TP, Brawl, etc. would have actually been able to accomplish something rather than just adding in waggle.

Xbox 360: 9/10

Great library, Love Live, the diverse range of games in many genres this generation is a HUGE step forward over the very drab selection the Xbox offered.

Nintendo Wii: 8/10

For social people (real life social not online social) its a great console. Anytime I have people over we always seem to pop something into the Wii and play for at least an hour. the pricepoint of some of the meh party games is a nice perk, and the fact that most of Nintendo's major franchises were out within 18 months and done pretty well was awesome.

PS3:

As a Blu-Ray Player 10/10

Bought a second PS3 to replace the simply terrible Sharp Blu-Ray player that I had in the bedroom. Its fast in terms of loadtimes, its fully updateable in terms of firmware, and the remote for 20 bucks is functional and pretty solid. The Blue-Tooth aspect of the remote is also great.

As a Gaming Console 5/10

I have the same comment about the PS3 as I did about the Gamecube last generation. The exlclusives are awesome but WAY to far and few in between. the gap between RFoM and Warhawk/Heavenly Sword was too long, and Heavenly Sword was too short. Then R&C and Uncharted were great but combine for less then 20 hours of gameplay, then the wait from that to MGS4 was just far to long. What makes a library great is a strong collection of AAe's and even strong Ae's PS3 simply does not stack up to the other two in terms of an overall library. The lack of RPG's is also a great disapointment.
