Rate this gens consoles on a scale of 10.

My opinion

PS3 before MGS4 = 8/10, PS3 after MGS4 = 10/10

360 = 8/10. Good deverse library but online cost and RROD bumps it down

Wii = 9/10. Great games such as SSBB, SMB, MP3 and Mario Kart Prove Wii to be a great console

DS: 9/10 PSP: 7/10 Wii: 6/10 PS3: 5/10 360: 5/10 I expected a hell of a lot better out of all three home consoles. The Wii would get a 4 if not for Nintendo's first party games.famicommander

360: 9/10 Has the best collection of games and online, multiplats are also better on it and has the best graphics. RROD is a problem but its never effected me after 3 years.

PS3: 7/10 It has MGS4 but thats about it, also 2.40 was lame you still have to quit to use xmb's features.

Wii: 2/10 Weak hardware and graphics feels previous gen, not enough hardcore games just pathetic gimmick's like Wiifit and a number of childish game. SSBB is the only reason there will ever be to own a Wii.

Wii 9/10, solid console, much better than the Gamecube IMO, the games already out are amazing and the upcoming ones look amazing too (yes I can actually research games for my consoles rather than just going on whats being hyped in SW. Controls for about 8/10 games I've played have been fine, but considering the other 3 or 4 games have other games in the same genre with much better controls it proves that it's just down to the developer.

PC 8/10 Only because mine sucks, I;m 100% certain if mine could play all the amazing games it'd be a 10, my graphics card so that sums it up really. I still love playing Counter Strike and HL2 though so that's why it gets an 8.

PSP 8/10, really good only got one a few months ago so I have a big catalogue to play, I love doing that with consoles, getting them late and then playing all the old games and buying them for cheap. Great for movies too, even though everyone seems to hate UMd I think it's great watching movies on the PSP. And the games selection is brilliant. Only things letting it down are upcoming games, worrying small amount of titles, and the fact the PS store is never updated with anything decent, c'mon Sony get MGS or Resi 2 in the PS Classics!

Other 2 consoles are both great from what I've played at friends houses, I enjoyed playing Uncharted, Resistance and Haze (*shock* yes I said that, the offline multiplayer is great fun and that's all I played) on PS3 and playing Gears, Cod3 (*shock again* NOT 4!?!?!?! No because 3 has ability for 4 offline players to play online, thus it is amazingly hilarious) and GTA4 on 360. All round brilliant gen.

PS3 8.5/10- Very Reliable, Fantastic Blu-Ray Player, Great Game Console

Metal Gear Solid 4 was just jaw droppingly awesome and the console itself is starting to really pick up steam.

360 7/10 RRoDed on me twice, A great library of titles, Xbox Live

Would have given it a score that was 2 points higher but since it broke down on me twice I have to subtract a point, the other problem I have with it is that most of it's good exlusives from Microsoft go to PC and since I own a good gaming rig buying the inferior version for 360 seems dumb to me.

Wii 5/10 Not very happy with it thus far.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Boom Blox, Super Mario Galaxy and LostWinds are all I own for it and I feel the console itself is very dissapointing....... Nothing worse then buying 2 games on launch day only to be angered because one of them is Red Steel.

Wii 8/10 good original exclusive games and fun multiplayer

PS3 6/10 its a great Bluray player and the odd good game

Xbox 360 4/10 90% of games available on PC RRoD the end

PC good but not a console unrated

The PS3

9/10- Sexy, Sexy Beast.

It is a beautiful console and built like a tank. The interface is smooth and very easy on the eyes. Almost everything seems to be in the right place.The ease of upgrading your HD is a big plus for the system (especially with all of the installing as of late.) Loses point for weak controller and underwhelming PSN.

The 360

8/10-Russian Roulette.

I like the shape of the system as it's leaps and bounds above the original. But the hardware inside is a mess. "Will it die on me?" is not something I want to think about while I'm gaming..,If it wasn't for XBL's integration and the excellent controllers, I'd have given it a 4.The marriage of XBL and the 360 is amazing and well thought out.

The Wii

7/10-Motion sickness

I'm not sold at all on the motion control and the games do nothing for me at all. I do like the design of the system though.It's very sleek. I had one for a year before I got tired of it and sold it.

Bottom line, they all look good to me, but overall I like the PS3 better hardware wise than any of the others due to it's reliabilty. But the 360 is my main gaming console due to 2 things: I love the controller and my friends list.

I'm going to rate all the consoles I played.

The Good Generations when games actually were challenging.

NES - 9 -

SNES - 10

Genesis - 7

Some of the best titles were on the PS1. The level of difficulty in games start to go down though.

PS1 - 8

Games start to suck. Except for a few, it seems like the majority of games are more about graphics than play. Don't get me wrong, a nice twist in the story line or a cool scene in a game are fun. Its just I rather play through a cool move rather than see a CGI of it.

PS2 - 5

PS3 - 2

XBOX - 1

XBOX - 360 - 5

Wii = (own )8.5 / 10 - Great exlusives , SMG one of the greatest games thats ever been made. Eazy to take with you wherever you go.

Ps3= ( borrowed my friends ) = 7,5 / 10 . Great hardware alot of possibilites , Great Exclusive but it need great exclusives before I will buy it. PSN needs to get alot better, but its getting there.

9/10. A great system, but will cast a Hadoken on your wallet.

360: 10/10; RROD Penalty -3, Disc Errors -2, XBL=PWN +1

6/10. With great games comes great sacrifice. Or cheap hardware. However, its online features dominate all.

Wii: 10/10; Shovelware Penalty -6, Casual Oriented/ Hardcore Backstabbing -2, Last Gen Hardware -1, Wallet Friendly +1

2/10. Has some good games, and it's the cheapest (because of the last gen hardware), but it's just not worth it.

Or you could buy it while the good games are still out there, then sell it when all hope is lost.

Xbox 360: 8/10-great games, fairly low price for the hardware itself, Live still good if a little pricey, RROD.

PS3: 7/10-a handful of gaming gems, shares some superb multiplatform games with the 360, solid but not exceptional online system, Blu-ray, expensive hardware, tacked on Sixaxis control scheme.

Wii: 7.5/10-several incredible games but otherwise lacking, ingenious new control system, shoddy online system when compared to the other two consoles but a step in the right direction over the last generation, well priced.

Upgradable hardware is one thing which is not easy to implement on consoles.Many people will not like it but I am sure nobody will have a problem if I had the ability of playing half-life2 or C&C3(games built with a keyboard\mouse in mind) with a keyboard\mouse on the 360.I mean really their is no logical reason why you cant other than the fact that console gaming is not hardcore.And asking for mouse control in a game like HL2 or C&C3 isnot even being all that hardcore in the first place.

the reason I gave the wii a higher score is becuase they have won, plus they have given us the most immersive games. And for those of you who think Motion control is a gimmic MS and sony dont think so since they are both copying Nintendo with it.
