This game is bananas. The lighting and reflections make the world feel so much more real.

RTX 2070 Super, i5 6500, 16GB DDR4 3200

This is a mix of High and Ultra (default detected for my GPU), no motion blur/film grain/CA

1440p* (DLSS Quality mode)

RT all on Ultra

Framerates are about 35-60FPS on my machine depending on the area - but I have unfortunately hit CPU-bound stutter at times specifically while driving. My CPU is just plain too old at this point I think, and the city is just so dense.

I'll have to play with the settings a bit more. I tried tweaking them before and it just destroyed my RTX 2080 :(

What are you fog settings (or whatever it is) at? I heard that is a real resource hog.

@mrbojangles25: I use this settings at 1080p on my 3070.

But for RT, I have lighting set to high. 60 FPS most of the times, even hits 70+ on some areas.

Mind you, my framerates are all over the place as noted above. But with adaptivesync I don't really notice as much except when it drops below my range (45 - which it does, unfortunately). I would think with a 2080 and (presumably) better CPU you should be able to sit in the 45-60+ range compared to my low 30s-60

I should also note I haven't tried to optimize. There were all the defaults and I just turned off the post-processing stuff I hate. I'm assuming I could improve my performance a bit, but I was surprised at how not-awful it was and just dove in

I am convinced now that it's possible for a game to look too good. I'm like 4 hours in and all I want to do is stop and take pictures all the time.

Superhot VR on Quest 2. They just added an Christmas themed Endless mode which is super fun.

Get a proper sweat on playing it though!

Anyway I finished the single player campaign for Injustice 2 and did some grinding in Warframe to increase my standing so I can build a Necramech for the Orphix Venom event.

Star Citizen is more cyberpunk than Cyberpunk 2077 :P

Also less buggy haha nah I kid.

First time playing SoR in maaaaaaany years, and i'm truly shit... Trying to train myself up, but I think i'm just to old and bone-idle now.

SO. MUCH. CYBERPUNK.

Replaying Star Wars: Fallen Order. This game just oozes Star Wars from head to toe. From the second you boot it up to when you close it down. Just a lovely game, give Respawn the SW license and freedom and let them make some more stuff for us.

Also BD-1 is the best SW droid of all time. There I said it. Better than R2D2. Yup I went there.

Oh and some obligatory Cyberpunk 2077 shots haha.

This is actually one of the more memorable scenes. I had been sent to the Pacifica district, which is essentially just a forgotton, crumbling collections of malls and skyscrapers. There was this helicopter in the background just dumping bullets into this skyscraper, with debris falling all around. Total immersion.

Just finished this. Clocked in at 69 hours(hehe) with a lot of gigs still left. Will come back to this for the free DLC and story DLC. I like the story anyway.

Thanks, yeah I'm diggin it for sure. Trying to give bullet hells more than a casual go, really dive in. Ikaruga is good shit, but gotta say, definitely prefer DoDonPachi Resurrection so far.

No. MPC and MadVR create very nice HDR to SDR converted screenshots. Not sure why game platform owners can't think of something to make it not look so washed out. Was thinking of taking some Shadow of the Tomb screenshots, but I'm not gonna turn HDR on and off.

Edit: Like if I were to take a screen capture with the Print Screen key while in HDR mode and paste it onto MS Paint.

Playing a bit of Hardspace: Shipbreaker. This is from the fine folks at Blackbird Interactive that made the amazing but criminally underappreciated Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak (damn, I need to replay that game).

Anyway, this game is sort of a "reverse puzzle" made for engineers ahaha. You get to use a welder and grappler to disassemble starships, being careful with fuel systems, explosive decompression, and so on. Really good sense of humor, too.

Definitely love those games but I'm terrible at them. I've never seen Dodonpachi but that looks great.

Playing some Hitman 2 that I picked up in the Steam sale... Getting ready for Hitman 3.

Kudos to the lighting, environmental artists. Interested to see what a real next gen From game looks like.

Yup. I wasn't feeling it much when it first came out, but gave it a revisit a few weeks back. Good game for sure. The platforming gets pretty great once you have the bash mechanic.
