Another AAAE for the Wii U, and the highest rated fighter of this year so far.

@charizard1605: Looks really fun. hopefully it will drop in price eventually. I'm not the biggest fans of fighters but I do love Pokémon.

On GameSpot, Metacritic is telling a much different story, it's getting a pretty mixed reception.
Wow, so the PS4 is the only system without a good fighting game?
Yep. But at least it has sales, right? Right? RIGHT?

And it also looks like Killer Instinct season 3 will get at least an 8/10, putting SFV to shame.
Among consoles, the Wii U is leading this year with AAAE titles- two already so far.
And the only two release it got(or almost)
Which is actually fairly impressive, if you stop and think about it.

In an age where people complain about huge game back logs I don't have a problem with quality over quantity.

I actually had this pre-ordered against my better judgment (I was expecting it to be pretty bad).
@charizard1605: I also want to get my hands on that HORI Pokken Tournament Pro Pad Limited Edition Controller.

Yeah, it seems like I will need a fight stick to get the most out of this.
*sigh*

1/3rd of the reviews are mixed, just as an example 1/8th of the reviews for Halo 5 were mixed and you see all the flack that gets, I'm just saying.

It's still the highest rated fighter of this year- SF5 is 75, iirc, this beats it out by 1 point.

Street Fighter V would technically be at 76 as well if you averaged out the PC and PlayStation 4 reviews, if you just did the PlayStation 4 and consoles, it's a point ahead.
Wut?
I thought the game was panned in Japan. Is this game greatly improved from that or, was there something I missed?
The arcade version was panned, looks like the console release was fixed up.

Then it's tied for the highest rated fighter, and I'm still right ;P

Some people are knocking on it for complex controls. Which i find weird, since many claim its very accessible in the reviews. This is one of those games where you have to read the reviews. Which funny things is, this is how a lot of Nintendo games are.
One dudes review stated that it only having 16 characters was a major blow to its casuals appeal. Like what? Are you for real?
Some are complaining lack of depth, but majority are cheering its depth. Like what? Why are we so confused with Nintendo games all the time?
But system wars keeps telling me Wii U has no games :O
Still has the most number of worthwhile exclusives of any console. The only (non PC) system the Wii U loses to is 3DS, which is- you guessed it, another Nintendo machine.

That's a good game, man. Aged well, too. Nintendo should make a new one:p
The Wii U's cleaning house this gen with exclusives. I realy should have got one at launch instead of an Xbox One.
I would get one now, but I'm better off waiting for the NX. And hopefully that could have a backward compatible feature.
The arcade version was panned, looks like the console release was fixed up.
Ahh, thanks for clearing that up.

Stadium 2 fleshed out the Gold/Silver experience quite a bit.
And I agree with Charizard. They should make a new one. With PIMPNITE being the lead designer. That would be amusing.
Huh, looks like the world is big enough to host 2 AAA fighting games this generation.
Both by the same publisher and (co) developer too.

NX has been in development for a while now, but I think Nintendo still gives proper support to the Wii U.
This year I'm looking forward to Star Fox, Paper Mario, Zelda and this Pokken game looks like fun too.
Compare that to MS who couldn't support Xbox because of 360, who couldn't support 360 because of Xbone. And Sony who couldn't support both Vita and PS4, so they chose to only support one.
The only thing about this game that is cringe is the voice acting of the trainers. So glad it turned out well, was worried it might suck but yay more games.
Wow, so the PS4 is the only system without a good fighting game?
You are delusional if you really think that.
@finalfantasy94: Cause sometimes quality is better then quantity.
Yea doesint excuse the lacking roster and its not like they are super deep with combos.
