a disease pokemon can get infected by which spreads to other party pokemon. It increases their EV gain. It should be on google. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pokerus read that. Not sure how useful EVs are now super training has been introduced.
I used wonder trade like 4 times earlier and got 2 level 5 Pikachu's, a level 1, YES LEVEL F***ING ONE HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE Honedge and a level 15 Heart Fish thing. Considering all my Pokemon are level 25+ I wasn't particularly pleased with any of this.
Pokemon are level one when they come out of eggs now instead of 5.
And here's my party now:
I am going through victory road right now. I imagine the elite four will be pushovers just like the gym leaders.
Yo, Sword-Demon, you want my Greninja? He's level 43 or 44.
Sure; what do you want in return? Delphox?
Is it safe to save in Lumiose City yet or not?
I wouldn't until we hear something from Nintendo.
...and guess who just literally turned on their game and found out they saved in Luminose...
Luckily it was in the Professor's lab lel.
I decided to turn off exp share to play it like the old games and not spoil myself by being OP.
Delphox
Aegislash
Florges
Clawitz
Talonflame
what should my last guy be?
I can't decide between: noivern (cuz, dragon), gogoat (ride it around), pangoro, and aurorus
I turned it off as soon as I got it. I am going through this game like in a hard-mode.
My team:
Luxio
Chesnaught
Charizard
Lucario
Pidgeot
Absol
This is a tough team to progress through the game, with Fighting types and being my major weakness right now.
Does anyone have Pokemon Y and not Pokemon X? I ask because I will want to do a Xerneas<-->Yvetal trade for Pokedex purposes, and was wondering if someone would help with that.
Well I have one more late night of homework. Once my weekend hits tomorrow though I'm not putting Pokémon down for some time! I still need to catch so many 'mon for my team! Skrelp, the ice turtle and Goomy being a couple of them!
Though I still haven't received the third gym badge so I've got a LOOOONG ways to go. Got my Greninja, Blaziken and Venusaur though. Benching the latter two and keeping Greninja all the way through.
@lx_theo: goomy is love
goomy is life
goomy is all
Found the Goomy population. Caught one for myself, sent another out onto the Wonder Trade circuit. I felt like being a good person.
Someone explain to me what the deal with Goomy is
@charizard1605: I'm almost at the point where I catch the Y legendary. Tomorrow night, I should have it and we can do the swap and swap-back.
Guys. guys.............just got a motherf*ckin Yveltal through Wonder Trade! XD I was trading some of the many Pikachu's I had caught and suddenly boom! Yveltal! Just like that I've completed the Trio (Xerneas, Zygarde and Yveltal) hehe
Oh... so you be one of them trainers who be trading commons on the Trade of Wonder...
>_<

They are working on a patch but Game Freak said don't save in the blue area of this image.

You went against the true Pokemon Master :D
:p
it was really fun
so if you get a pokemon in a trade, you can never change its name? even if it evolves (i heard they lose the nickname when they evolve)?
Im underwhelmed by this game so far. 5 badges in.
Shaking my head...
Its really easy. Maybe I should turn exp share off, but thats not the only thing. NPCs give you so many things that I feel like should be earned. And, I havent really had any difficult areas to clear yet with lots of trainers like in old games.
I also think the circle pad has been implemented really poorly.

Pokemon games have always been incredibly easy. They just got rid of the boring grind you occasionally had to do if your party pokemon weren't good. I'm glad it's easier. I actually think the circle pad is ok. It reminds me of the mach bike from ruby in that it's hard to control so it's more fun to go through the overworldworld.

How does the the circle pads difficult input make for a more fun overworld? I shouldnt have to fight to maneuver around trainers, objects, and through doors.

I'm so tired of the recycled storyline and gameplay. I just don't think Pokémon is for me anymore.

Because once you get used to it, it's challenging but accurate. I use it almost all of the time, only use the dpad for moving like two or three squares.

You obviously haven't gotten to the false endings and the amazing player choice.
Plus the talking Pikachu is probably the best written character in video games.
My team is at Level 51 and I haven't even won the seventh gym badge yet. I'm only at the Ice Cave.
Is this normal?
OH my god! someone just sent me this amazing looking dragon for sending him a Haunter :D
its sad that its name is in Japanese sigh

If you check its summary screen, it will have its name in English too (It will display as Japanese Name/<Pokemon Name>)

Yeah i can always check the PokeDex but its just during battle will always be in japanese
@jg4xchamp:
Yes. It's actually pretty easy to get all 3 Gen 1 starters. I had all 3 without
In terms of pokemon availability, this is the best a pokemon game has done. I dont even use the gen VI starter as I have access to whatever early pokemon I know of that I want. Trading for a haunter for a gengar is incredibly easy since the Global Trading System is so intuitive: can be accessed anywhere, with nice filters. I literally engaged in more pokemon trades in one weekend that surpasses all the pokemon games i've played from Gen 1 to Gen 5.
If there's any downsides to the whole trading system in this game, it's that the systems implemented doesnt accomodate natures. (Which still disgusts me as a mechanic as all it does is serve as a time-sinked roadblock for one to compete).
Edit: This forum is a mess

Im progressing at the same pace, I think.
Got 3 badges and i've got my main 6 at level 37. I've even been doing some breeding and training on the side preparing them for competitive post-game stuff.
I wanna see what a Mega-evolved Charizard + Drought and a Venausaur + Chlorophyll plays like. Assuming Drought works the same way as it did previously.
