@Suppaman100: I'm a bit torn. I really don't love that MS abandoned its core, that gaming is becoming secondary and that motion sensing is such a huge part of its console. On the other hand I appreciate that its trying something different and integrating functions into the machine. In the day and age we live in consoles are very soon going to become a dinosaur unless they multi-function (streaming to smart TV's/TV HDD's will make console hardware irrelevant).

However, atm Sony is the only company I'm going to spend my next gen $$$'s on, not convinced by what the XB1 has to offer in terms of gaming or functionality yet. So to answer you question (in a long winded and round about way) I don't think I'm alone in that so they'll do fine (the first months will likely be determined by supply - both will sell what then can produce) but I reckon the PS4 will significantly outsell the XB1 in the first year, but its possible the XB1 long term might edge ahead thanks to it having a more widespread appeal beyond gaming *shrug*

Last gen showed us we just don't know how the market will react.

Agree with almost everything. But I still think consoles have a place in the future, although in Japan we can see a transition to handhelds but this is because they lack living space. The West doesn't have this kind of problem. Consoles will stay, even with the rise of portable electronics.

And yeah, I can see Xb1 selling well if they can catch the interest of casuals like Wii. Although if you want a real next-gen gaming console, PS4 is the only option imo.

There will always be some people with issues when consoles launch, ALWAYS. As with the ps4 im sure the % is small, but that sucks for those who had issues! Also out of the 40 people on my friends list on xboxlive, none of them are having issues, small amount of people I know, but I was honestly expecting some issues for a select few for both ps4 and xbox one, things happen, best ot buy the warranty if you buy one early.

Loving the new controller so far, Forza is amazing, the voice commands and tv integration are great to! Dead Rising is about a 7.5 or 8/10 so far aswell, not to bad. NBA2k14 looks amazing on next gen consoles, the players and movement/animations are pretty breathtaking, definatly the best looking of the next gen sports games. Then again it is 2k and not EA.

Have not tried Killer Instrinct yet, might try that later tonight. Not much of a fighting fan but why not try the free version?

If I ever get an xbone, it'll be a re-design in a couple of years. It's not worth the risk after what happened with the 360. All it took was a change in management and they completely dropped the thing in favor of Kinect.

I remember the story of the MS exec who forgot they even made the xbox. Right now they're super-focused on the Bone because it's launch week, but give it two years when they're launching a new OS or they change CEO and they could drop it like it never existed in the first place.

Obviously not the problem, but why the hell do people put electronic components on other electronic components? DON'T DO IT!

I said in June each console will have it's share of launch problems. Still might have some months from now, who knows.

So far LOVING my time with Forza5 and the xbox one. The controls, gameplay, graphics and audio are just breathtaking in forza5, for me the best launch title since Mario 64, well done Turn 10. Only thing I like mroe on the ps4 is the UI so far.

Or they are busy playing it because it has better launch games lol

The two consoles are both good imo and I am not a bigger fan of either MS or Sony, I am mainly a PC gamer. I liked my 360 and ps3 evenly last gen aswell. But out of the launch games I have played on both consoles, Forza5 is the only MUST own exclusive right now.

Forza 5 is reall something though having a blast on it today, having some soup now for lunch and thought I would check out how the forums where doing today, it is always funny to see the lemmings and cows go at it :)

Especially when they both go at each other for the small amount of people having issues with there console hehe.

of the 150 1 star reviews on amazon it looks like less than 10% are verified, and cows were complaining about lemmings sabotaging their reviews when over 2/3rds were verified.

Taking into account only the verified reviews, it does seem the bone has much lower failure rate at launch than the PS4.

Yeah, they do get mixed up. Different clothes. That's about it.

I think I played 8 hours of dayz one day awhile ago and around the same when Bioshock 1, MGS4 and New Vegas came out aswell. Anything over that is just to hard for me lol, getting old bud. I have 4 hours (mostly of Forza5) so far today :)
