Is this going to be DD? I can't find it on Steam or Greenmangaming. I can find it on Amazon as a DVD but from where I'm at it'll take probably at least a week to get here if not longer.

[QUOTE="PhazonBlazer"]nope, but there is some screen tearing on both versions (360/ps3). i will wait for DF to see which version peforms better, from the gameplay videos iv'e seen though it looks like ps3 has more screen tearing at times and the 360 version looks darker like most of the multiplats. i think 360 version will end up being better like most open world game.Hey has there been any mention of frame rate problems on the PS3?

Oh well, PS3 is my only choice:P
Guess so. Looks to be the only good one as far as I'm concerned. Multiplayer seems pointless though, sans the map editor. People who want Call of Duty will play Call of Duty. Do something else please.
Played the multiplayer at PAX East way back when and did not have fun with it. Not sure what has changed since then to warrant such high review scores.limpbizkit818

I just watched a few comparison videos and I think both versions look the same with 360 being a bit darker, which causes some details that are in the PS3 version not being visible in the 360 version (like a reflection in sunglasses in certain scene, etc.), but the differnce is so negligible that we can say neither of the two versions looks better than the other.
Performance looked the same too judging by the videos.
Of course the PC version will probably be the way to go this time thanks to keyboard+mouse and superior graphics.
Never been a fan of the series but i might actually get FC3... Reviews have been giving great scores and lots of positive remarks..
It's funny how SW cares about this game now that it has gotten a ton of great reviews. The power of review scores. Blazerdt47Maybe SW's, but for me it was the gameplay videos they released in the last few months. The reviews are more like a confirmation.
Omg I just saw the Trailer for the map editor and you can now populate your maps with animals and NPCs!

I loved the first two Far Cry's (and Instincts), well Far Cry 2 was awesome except for the respawning outposts which got annoying pretty fast.
that quicklook GS did killed all my hype. I hope the PC version is better because that looked like a buggy mess.
Another Far Cry 3 review, another perfect score.
Shoe in GotY contender? This game came out of nowhere.

Far Cry has been a pretty underrated FPS series. Also I think Kevin is reviewing it so there went the chances of it scoring high.

Kevin loves scoring great games high. If this is indeed as good as everyone is making it out to be, then who knows, it might just score a high AAA here.Reading the RockPaperShotgun review of Far Cry 3 if you want the best insight on the PC version.that quicklook GS did killed all my hype. It's about how the bugs impacted his experience, which in a huge open-ended game like Skyrim is much different from, well, almost anything else. Having the scripting break 5 times in an 80 hour game is kind of different from the same happening in a 6 hour game.

Well a great game makes bugs dissapear because you won't even notice them with all that is going on. But if what you are playing isn't all that good, then you are left there, looking at some bugs. Also there are many kinds of bugs and some destroy gameplay or at least diminish it.
It's funny how SW cares about this game now that it has gotten a ton of great reviews. The power of review scores. Blazerdt47When it's met with nearly universal acclaim, sure, it's going to raise everyone's interest. I think GS is going to 8.0 this. MAYBE an 8.5.
I watched Kevin V's playthrough on Gamespot Live and he really seemed to like it. It might score a 9.0 here, but still calling an 8.5

MirkoS77When it's met with nearly universal acclaim, sure, it's going to pique everyone's interest. I think GS is going to 8.0 this. MAYBE an 8.5. Yea I don't see why it is a bad thing. I first got interested in the game the first time it was announced at E3, even though I don't play many FPS. It's been awhile since that trailer, and I haven't really kept up with it because I don't tend to play FPS games, but hey if people are raving about it, and it sounds like what I found interesting in that first trailer might actually have come through the final product, then yea, my interest is peaked.
Reviews are kinda like word of mouth praise/hate. Sure, there are background stuff going on that effect ratings, and it's not like I trust review scores wholly anyway (especially from Kevin V), but when something is generating a lot of noise, I'll listen and then make my own judgement. I'll not toss it aside simply because I hate mainstream media.

Less equivocation fallacies, more reasonable arguments here please.Bugs are bugs, doesn't matter the size or quality of the game. If one game gets a "freebie" while another one doesn't that is favoritism out the ***, not hard to understand but again I doubt you understand that simple concept frozen.
If bugs happen in a less appealing game compared to an appealing game there's no neutral ground doing that review, you will easily ignore bugs which honestly shouldn't be ignored on any level. You wonder why the NFL has strict restrictions on referees?, favoritism would ruin the game, same with video games. I loved Skyrim and GW2 but they had some pretty annoying bugs/glitches. That's why they need to remove the scoring system in reviews cause there's no such thing as a perfect scoring game or a flawless game some people might say.
Look at Oot one of the highest rated games, has a glitch that you can beat the game around 20 min. Yes Oot is a classic and an amazing game but having glitches doesn't make a game "flawless" or amazing, that would imply the game is perfectly made.

When did it become the goal of a review to analyze a game's technical workmanship? The focus is their personal experience with the game, not how hard they think the programmers worked. If that experience wasn't spoiled by the bugs, knocking down the game's score because of them is helpful to precisely nobody.
At that point you might as well say "Well I love Skyrim's RPG elements, but some people might be mad that they were simplified, so I'm going to take .5 off the score."
