Great, I can see where this goes. Anytime "core" and "Nintendo" is brought up, it always inevitably ends up in the blaming of the consumer. How convenient.

@Lulu_Lulu: its a huge misconception gamers make to think Nintendo fans aren't attracted to Assassin's creed or Call of Duty.
If Unity, Rouge, or Advance Warfare were on WiiU you bet I would be all over it.
See, people like us (those who ACTUALLY want third party support on Nintendo consoles) are only stragglers.
Most of the games that have challenged me have been on Wii U. ZombiU was really tough on Survivor mode, the last area of Pikmin 3 was ridiculously difficult and some of the challenges in NSMBU were next to impossible. Personally, I'd take tight, polished gameplay that's hard but rewarding over cinematic, story-focussed games anytime.
Nintendo has been amazing in delivering games that look great and are just downright fun to play. You dont have to worry about spec sheets, this stupid fps/resolution war, and huge chunks of games being walled off by online servers that barely work.
Whats not to like? Games are supposed to be about the fun.
Nintendo is one of the few core gaming companies left as far as consoles go.
I'm never sure why people associate "core gaming" with the mindlessly shallow game experiences that are highly prevalent on the other consoles.
If the "core" of the gaming industry is games like AssCreed, Uncharted, CoD, and other such titles, then gamers everywhere have failed :(

People don't.
They associate "core gaming" with a diversified library, good 3rd party support, a modern day online environment and features, no region locking, and digital policies that aren't anti-consumer.
Go figure at these people, huh?
