This hack was nothing more than an excuse for some sorry hackers to make trouble. Its like looters that take advantage of large crowd gatherings or protests. At least Microsoft is saying something which takes some guts considering everyone else is getting hacked.

In other words, they don't want to be the next victim. :P Pretty obvious though, hopefully Sony can rebound and bring back online better than ever.

To be fair to MS "ask a stupid question and you'll get a stupid answer".

I think the interviewer was expecting them to say, "ah Sony suck blah blah blah", but in truth MS see Sony as healthy competition.

PSN is ok even the damn Pentagon has loss sensitive information to hackers,MS is not different and millions of people have experience not only data theft, but also identity, and had their PC basically kill thanks to hackers and the biggest and most hacked software is Windows a MS products, trowing a jab at sony for PSN is silly MS has been putting data as risk from millions of computers before the PS was even born.

yeah sorry man but when a company basically is caught running their security off apple II's then its a very large embarrasment. Specially when it took them forever to let people know and then wouldn't give specific information and instead used words like maybe, may have and possibly but unlikely. Oh and http://psndowntime.com/They still haven't managed to get the network up as a whole yet.

It is a fact not my opinion dude, charging for something that has been free for ages is is ripping people off,you can argue that you see value on it,but still a rip off,you use your own game, your own connection and your own 360,and MS charge you for allowing you to connect period.

every single accesory for the ps3 is expensive just as expesive as the ones on the 360 *and no where near the quality either the 360 controller far superior the dual shock and has far better battery life too*. If all you have is 2 things then you really dont have anything. Seems like Sony ""rips off"" their customers just as much.

Your point? They haven't confirmd any identy theft losses. So, your saying psn being down was a larger embarrassment than pentagon being hacked. Lolwut. The biggest point is, there is no such thing as hack proof. Who cares about psn not being up as a whole yet? That's actually smart thing to do... Because they want to be hell sure that the security is much much tighter this time around.

Is worst when you pay for it and you can't sing in to play, like it happen with xbox live in 2007,oh it was the huge holiday traffic.. Which the company should have see and prevented,no system is safe from hackers, and xbox live is included and you know it,if MS had the most secure software no one in the world would have the need to have and anti virus on their PC,considering windows is MS #1 cash cow and biggest profit maker.

One incident does not dismiss another incident. A man murders another man then saves another man does not dismiss the previous case of murder. So comming around and saying But it happens all the time or But this happend to these guys does not change the fact that Sony was embarrased highly and rightfully so.

the 360 controller using batteries has about 30-40 hours more battery life then the dualshock 3 the Rechargable battery pack for the 360 controller has about 50 more hours battery life then a dualshock 3...yeah sorry it completely applies Sony charges just as much for their accessories that have the same examples of accessories as the 360 and they aren't even as good of quality.

How exaclty are you able to get act like it is from words on a screen? At no point did I say that but I will say it now In the video game world Sony has been embarrased more then most any other company since the begining of video games.

No it doesn't completely apply. They're equal and actually dualshock is better because you save more money and the battery life last long enough to not really bother anyone to have to get up and recharge it. Oh REALLY? They aren't as good as 360 accessories? Lol, that's just your opinion.

Oh and http://psndowntime.com/They still haven't managed to get the network up as a whole yet.

 Xbox live was down for like 2 weeks and it wasn't even down it was down for some people some of the time and others not down at all, all caused by people wanting to get onto the superior service.

Far different from Sony basically having an attitude that hey its free we wont get hacked we don't need security and then being forced to go down for...http://psndowntime.com/that place has all the information about the total downtimes.

[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"]

[QUOTE="sethman410"][QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"] One incident does not dismiss another incident. A man murders another man then saves another man does not dismiss the previous case of murder. So comming around and saying But it happens all the time or But this happend to these guys does not change the fact that Sony was embarrased highly and rightfully so.

Ok, I agree that they are embarressed. But sire, not the biggest embarrassment in history because you're acting like it is.

How exaclty are you able to get act like it is from words on a screen? At no point did I say that but I will say it now In the video game world Sony has been embarrased more then most any other company since the begining of video games.

Same can be said words coming out of people's mouth. It's just how the person is typing. Lol.

Because you know it's been prooven that Sony had crap security right? Aside from all those "Hacker logs" that are as legit as me saying I have the key to fort knox on my lanyard. Yup they totally said "Security? Whats that!"

[QUOTE="sethman410"] You have to buy batteries for xbox 360 controller therefore "having larger battery life" is irrevelant.sethman410

the 360 controller using batteries has about 30-40 hours more battery life then the dualshock 3 the Rechargable battery pack for the 360 controller has about 50 more hours battery life then a dualshock 3...yeah sorry it completely applies Sony charges just as much for their accessories that have the same examples of accessories as the 360 and they aren't even as good of quality.

No it doesn't completely apply. They're equal and actually dualshock is better because you save more money and the battery life last long enough to not really bother anyone to have to get up and recharge it. Oh REALLY? They aren't as good as 360 accessories? Lol, that's just your opinion.

nah its pretty much confirmed fact the wireless headset is a confirmed egonomic nightmare before they changed it *confirmed ergonomic nightmare BECAUSE they changed it it went from this boxy hard angled thing to soft curves if it wasn't an ergonomic nightmare they wouldn't have changed the design* Controller not nearly as good battery life as the 360 controller, triggers, analog sticks ergonomic nightmare.

I could list others? they aren't equal thats 50 more hours of game time without having to wait and charge it up, then you have the fact the 360 will charge your controllers when plugged in while its turned off the ps3 wont, you can get a 360 controller and play and charge kit combo for the same price as a dual shock 3...so they aren't equal.

Note: I'm off to go mow the yard do not take my absence as defeat or you or tomentos as proving some sort of point i will be back to reply.

This hack was nothing more than an excuse for some sorry hackers to make trouble. Its like looters that take advantage of large crowd gatherings or protests. At least Microsoft is saying something which takes some guts considering everyone else is getting hacked.-ArchAngeL-777-
Couldn't have said it better myself.

Most of your statements if not all is irrevelant. I think you got owned because I said, you save money because you can recharge the controller not go out a buy frikkin batteries. That's the end of story right here. (You have to go buy accessory for 360 conrollers to be recharged, so this is frikkin irrevelant mr. baker.) Other accessories for crying out loud is just your opinion. Oh, and the controller likes and dislikes is also personal preference. You liking 360 controller better does not represent everyone.

Not more than the $100 network adapter,$20 dollars on PC and the 20GB for $100,when for $50 you could buy a 160 GB one back then.

every single accesory for the ps3 is expensive just as expesive as the ones on the 360 *and no where near the quality either the 360 controller far superior the dual shock and has far better battery life too*. If all you have is 2 things then you really dont have anything. Seems like Sony ""rips off"" their customers just as much.
