Damn, the visual improvement is even higher than OoT to OoT 3D. I, uh, never actually beat Majora's Mask, so: day one.

Hmmm...is it really THAT good??? i always thought the time limit was a huge chore after a while.

AAAE. Thats one hell of a cover also. Never played it for the N64 for any amount of time, so I'm hyped.

My favorite Zelda game and one of my favorite games ever but it will get AA just like OoT3D did.

I thought the time limit was very well done. It added some fun tension IMO. And even if time ran out in a dungeon, it was very easy to get back to where you were if you had already obtained the dungeon's special item.

I'd say AA.

No "E" (i.e. AAE) because it's not exclusive anymore, but it turns out I have a few versions of this game on N64, Wii VC, and GC. I'm glad it's coming to 3DS for the fans and especially young ones that never played the game before.

The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition for GC was sweet as it had four Zeldas. I don't have time to get all my Zelda's in one picture (handhelds, Wii, N64 are not in pic), but I took a quick snapshot of some Zelda stuff I had in the classic game-room:

I don't Wind Waker is even close to shit (I actually can't think of a remotely bad Zelda game, tho I haven't played Zelda 2), but if I will say that underneath its charm, it's the weak link as far as the main 3D Zeldas are concerned. The dungeon designs, while still being much better than Okami's, are just not on the same level as the others.

Pretty sure OoT or ALTPP are most popular. MM, while beloved, is still a bit divisive.

Granted, there is huge history and a story behind the Zelda-Nintendo-Philips CD-i deal that I won't post again for the 100th time, but here's a quick sneak peak at the "bad Zeldas":

They really don't count, any more than that Uncharted card game or LBP iOS game counts lol. They're there, they exist, but they don't count in discussions of Zelda history.

Hype threads never went away, my man. Just some recent ones that I can remember off the top of my head: Super Smash Bros. 3DS, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Mario Kart 8, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed Unity, Destiny, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive, and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker.

Hey, moving the goal posts! (:P) ...and it wasn't even your statement. While I agree with your added criteria list being true, it wasn't not what I was looking for. No one mentioned any of those points (it has to be canon, it has to be made by Nintendo on a Nintendo system) as criteria (or rules) for my search. These bad Zelda games exist and they count if some asks if there was ever a "bad Zelda game" created. Imagine teaching a gaming history class and someone asked you if there was such thing as a "bad Zelda game". You could reply and probably mention the deal surrounding why these games exist...but they still exist. That was what was mentioned, that none exist.

I know all about the gaming and Zelda history...but that wasn't the criteria. I've been with Zelda since NES and I've explained these history lessons before many times. I remember living through these nutty Zelda eras from the Nintendo developed Zeldas (and Capcom Zeldas).

The criteria was, and I quote, to simply find a "remotely bad Zelda game ", which I did. I knew about three that exist and I mentioned the Philips caveat in that post just to make sure not to mislead. It was just for fun anyways.

No one is claiming these games are canon or made by Nintendo, just that they exist as bad Zelda games.

If someone said there wasn't "a remotely bad" Uncharted, Halo, LBP, Mario, or Street Fighter game the exact same search parameters would apply. Not that I should have to mention any of those games as some sort of defense for revealing some neat Zelda trivia that people may not be aware of.

With your added parameters, my vote would go to Zelda 2. It was meant to be a lighthearted response, jeez. I posted my Zelda pics above which I'll post again. No bigs. :P It's not like I'm new to Zelda or whatever (missing in my pic I made today is some of my Zeldas on Wii, N64, and handhelds).

9 hopefully, 8 probably more realistically. Hard to say though. Considering the original Ocarina of Time which got a 10 here, whose remake only got an 8, it seems unlikely it'll be higher unless it makes some dramatic improvements. Hope it gets a 9 though!

With the Inverted song of time, the time limit is irrelevant. The time mechanic is an amazing way to get to know all the characters in the game and solve quests.

I'd say AAA. Such an amazing game that incorporates what make Zelda great along with an amazing story and a considerably bleak tone.

In all honesty I'm looking forward to playing this one again. I only ever played it once back when it was new, and the second time I tried to play it again, the game crashed on me so I never went back.

I see this game getting an 8. But anyways once this game comes out I will try out OOT 3D and then MM 3D after.

@SolidTy: Haha, I know, I was mostly adding my opinion rather than outright contradicting you :)

Personally, I like Zelda 2. Two bad Zelda games in my opinion are Skyward Sword and Spirit Tracks. Skyward Sword is still at least an average game, but Spirit Tracks is outright, aggressively bad, with only the music and the Zelda/Link interplay being redeeming qualities there.

I appreciate them improving the save system so it doesn't feel dated, something that should have been done for OoT3D.
