Kinect sells 2.5 Million in first 25 days

All of our local gamestop's/walmarts/bestbuys have maintained stock of Kinect. Microsoft has been shipping them like crazy to make sure they're in stock. Also, it should be noted I am around big cities. Denver-Colorado Springs area.

Even when I picked up my kinect there were huge stacks of them.

The sales are great, but let's not be unrealistic. If there were 10 million at launch atleast 5-6 million of those would be sitting on shelves until Later next year.

Wow, also untrue.. Kinect had 1 million sales within the first 10 days, the other 1.5 million has been since then.

Also, Amazon has NOT been sold out of Kinect/Xbox this whole time. They recently went on backorder within the past day or so. Your opinion is wrong, quit sharing it.

Kinect is absolutely not sold out everywhere... if I wanted to (and I don't) I could walk down the street right now and pick one up. Neither is the Xbox 360. Inventing facts doesn't help your point at all.

On a positive note despite my current 'Meh' approach to the kinect it has became a above average peripheral/accesory in terms of sales behind only the N64 Rumble and Expansion packs, Wii motion plus, Mario Kart Wii wheel, Rckband peripherals, Wii Fit board etc etc. Very few of those are expensive as the Kinect which is a positive for it.

How impressed I am by these results depends on afew things.

WHAT??? How is this above average and its only been out less then a month.

Because Historically Peripherals have done very badly....Less units than I'm assuming this has pushed already.

E.g Sega CD, N64 DD.

I'm not surprised but I still think Kinect is a bit crappy. Well, as long as we aren't forced to use it for any "core" 360 games then I shall be fine with it.

Not this again, this is not Amazon stock, this is people that bought Kinect and now sell it for huge prices, like 200-300$, which of course noone buys, people are not always that hasty you know, when they can just wait and get Kinect in normal price later

Again, Kinect is out of stock in Amazon (and every other online US store too), this is the fact

Obviously as you read the list you missed the miraiade of Toy stores, Electronc stores and video game specialist websites selling it. Btw I'm hardly having a dig at the kinect (If you look at my orignal post in this thread)mearly stating it is available on one specific website that earlier someone claimed incorrectly it wasn't.

Btw resorting to personal digs over factual context is hardly the best way to go about articulating your point. It comes of as desperate and fanboyish.

2.5 MILLION IS A FLOP CONSIDERING THE FACT what ms expected it to do -they wanted to take down wii ,

plus how much is that compared to the overall userbase ! 34 million? pft , until it passes the 10.5 gameboyplayers sold world wide its not considered much more then a hype peripheral/add-on
