I understand that pokemon uses the same mechanics over again but how is it milking when every time they make a new generation they have to remake the pokemons again ( moves, pixels, stats, etc ) make a new Area... Make a new story ( yes there's always a story it's not just go through the 8 gyms ) and they always improve it in some form of another or add new things... :|
Milk is something like CoD copy paste... :s
recreating =/= milking
by that logic starcraft is also being milked. So is ME :| Hell every game with a sequel.
Only real milking would be the remakes.. but those are actually remakes not re-release to HD or whatever. The remakes always include new things that the original didn't have and it's made to handle the new generation of pokemons. By comparison Gamefreak is a blessing compared to everyone else.
there's not greater milking that EA, Capcom and ubisoft. Activision only milks CoD they try to milk everything they got.
Mario isn't a franchise, unless you mean 3D Mario or 2D Mario... 3D Mario and Mario Tennis are two different franchises. If we were talking about most milked character or IP then that would be different course. Eponique
Mario is a game, a character, and a franchise.
That list has at least 10 mario franchises......
The topic is about the single most milked franchise. Unless you are saying 2D/3D/other Mario franchise is the most milked franchise, you have to acknowledge that Mario Golf is not the same franchise as Super Mario Galaxy.Mario is a game, a character, and a franchise.

No, because I consider mario itself a franchise, one that has seen a tremendous amount of games. Also one that has more spin off franchises than any other.
[QUOTE="Mr_Cumberdale"]CoD and Forza. Both are barely improving but release a game every single freaking year.SlashlessForza releases a game every two years.... That does little to improve on the last one... im sure it not as milked as the rest - but when MS are only releasing 4 exclusives (halo, gears, forza, fable) over and over u cant help but see it as being milked.
[QUOTE="joel_c17"]That does little to improve on the last one.Slashless
Forza games make substantial improvements with every installment.
I'd ask you to try again, but I realise you couldn't improve past that post.
Looks at Forza 3.... Looks at Forza 4.... *facepalm*[QUOTE="Slashless"][QUOTE="joel_c17"]That does little to improve on the last one.joel_c17

Heroldp813
Actually you're wrong. It is Disney with 251 games but that doesn't really counts as a franchise so I'm going with Mario with 206 games.
Pokemon only has 69 games which is nothing compared to Mario.

The Good Caters to drivers of all skill levels ie. they dumbed it down Rivals mode is a great addition - 1 of the 2 new additions Cars and tracks look better than ever - a newer game looks better then an older one? STOP THE PRESSES! New multi-class races are a lot of fun - oooo another new kinda race (yawn) Immediate feedback on your driving technique encourages you to improve. Well isnt that super duper The Bad No variable weather conditions or night races - couldnt squeeze this into the game in the 2 years development time? mabe next game? Only five new circuits. 5 new circuits? lololololololol
