Will Sony win the generation, there is a good chance. Will the "Blow Out" the Xbox One. No. It really depends on what you consider a blow out. I (and most people on there) wouldn't say that Android has "blown out" IOS even though 6x more Android smartphones shipped worldwide in 2013. I would be extremely surprised if Sony even manages a 1.5x shipments with the PS4 over the Xbox One, but even if they do that is in no way a "blow-out"

no, the ps3 was going to blow the 360 out of the water, but sony screwed up with the pricing and hardware. and took a little too long with some games. however, most of us knew the games were coming because sony actually has a first party.

• Fable isn't worth mentioning anymore

They have some games in the works, sure. How many of these will be great and remain exclusive to the platform if they ever even were to begin with remains yet to be seen.

No, not even. PS3 caught up when it hit a comparable price and had compelling software. MS will too. And MS will do fine overseas outside of Japan once they hit the right price and all features and the system are available. I'm not sure who will win, but I expect we will never see a double digit lead of one console over another this gen. The bigger question is will Sony as a company still be around. They have a mountain of debt that the PS4 can't erase. If they survive though and do well in Japan they will likely win the sales gen. I'm fine with that as MS will keep fighting harder for my money, so its all good. But anyone predicting a winner 2 months into the gen is beyond words stupid. To many things can and will change and things could happen that we don't see coming.

Sony will sell more because they havea better value for the consumer and have better merket penetration globally, but I don't think it will be a "blow-out". Regardless, many thought the 360 was going to blow out the PStriple.

You mean like MS does! Stating on E3 that their 360 was going to outsell the PS3. Like MS planning all that DRM crap & then they couldn't.

It blows out and Sony still goes bankrupt because of its bleeding music and movie divisions.

It will sell a couple million more but it wont do as well as the PS2.

I really hope the 4 outdoes the 2, that would be another very good era for gamers.

I think the PS4 is going to win, but the margin will not be like PS2 vs xbox, I think it'll be more like WII vs the 360 at the end of this Gen!

I say by about 30-40 million sold. 8 years, ps4 about 90-100 million, x1 50-60 million is my guess. WiiU 30-35 million
