This is a very mature game that lacks misogyny. Can we agree with gamespot in
deliberating a general consensus that Gone Home is the better game? And probably GOTY (outside of Shadow Warrior)?
Also I think it's 5% I think. I dono. Maths is stupid.

This isn't metacritic. That has a forum. This is gamespot and what gamespot says, goes.
For the most part.
Carolyn stated in the review that Gone Home's fair treatment of "whatever group you want to call it" contributed to its positive score. She will mark a game down if a game (in her eyes) doesn't do the same as well so I think its dumb for people to get upset about her reviews. Whether a game is .000001 better than another is up to you but we can definitely say that Carolyn factors in how certain groups are portrayed so just make a mental note of that and MOVE ON!

Mustard has always been the superior condiment.

Those are fighting words!
Mustard is a condiment made from the seeds of a mustard plant (white or yellow mustard, Sinapis hirta; brown or Indian mustard, Brassica juncea; or black mustard, B. nigra). The whole, ground, cracked, or bruised mustard seeds are mixed with water, salt, lemon juice, or other liquids, and sometimes other flavorings and spices, to create a paste or sauce ranging in color from bright yellow to dark brown. Commonly paired with meats and cheeses, mustard is a popular addition to sandwiches, salads, hamburgers, and hot dogs. It is also used as an ingredient in many dressings, glazes, sauces, soups, and marinades; as a cream or a seed, mustard is used in the cuisine of India, the Mediterranean, northern and southeastern Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa,[1] making it one of the most popular and widely used spices and condiments in the world.[QUOTE="xhawk27"][QUOTE="ReadingRainbow4"]

Gone Home unfortunately got off on a technicality.
It was the last game reviewed before Gamespot decided to go with a 10-point scale.
Had it abided by the new score system, it would have either been a 9 (not making it game of the year) or a 10 (which would have been harder to justify)

Oh I'm not arguing that, I was thinking the same thing, though you must keep in mind if we relate it to the system in terms of sound it goes, mustard, xboxone, and playstation catsup

Ow isn't that cute. You think GS reviews hold so much ground here just because we are on GS. Yes they do. You're getting angry about it because you don't like the fact Gone Home scored better than overhyped Auto.
To your mind, the score was already predefined 9.5 amazing buy the game IGN.

So even though you acknowledge that Petit applies an esoteric reviewing standard that has nothing to do with the actual gameplay, you think we should just shut up an take it?
[QUOTE="Brean24"]Did people forget that gamespot changed the score system? There is no .5s anymore. Hench why GTA5 is 9.0 and not 9.5 or higher. lostrib
or it could have just been 9
It could have been just 9. But we will never know. Which is why comparing review scores between different system if they are say between 9 and 10, 8 and 9 etc is pointless. Chances are the scores would have been about the same.[QUOTE="lostrib"][QUOTE="Brean24"]Did people forget that gamespot changed the score system? There is no .5s anymore. 0.5% more than 9 is 9.045.
Procent och procentenheter är svårt. Vet inte vad procentenhet är på engelska. Är väl knappast percent unit va? Anyway, custard > mustard.

Indeed.
Custard always makes me think of this guy.
And then of apple pie.
Custard > apple pie.
I don't know where I'd rank Penfold on this list. Haven't seen Danger Mouse in 60 years and have forgotten if it's actually any good or not.
Gone home was worthless. I haven't felt so ripped off since I bought Bubsy 3D.
For years I've felt the whole "professional reviewer" business was utter nonsense, but this really sealed the deal for me.

People like different things more or less than other people. What are you? 21? You should know better. Shame on you. Also Gone Home was like $10. Be happy that's the most ripped off you've felt for the past 14 years.Gone home was worthless. I haven't felt so ripped off since I bought Bubsy 3D.

Mmm, don't know what my age has to do with it, but I wish I were still 21.
And yep. People like different things. And they express their opinions. Just like how I'm expressing my opinion. So if there is shame on me then there is also shame on you and shame on the reviewer.
