When Civilization (or anything of that caliber, really) comes to consoles, let me know.

Because casuals have the deepest pockets when it comes to blowing their savings on a console a new $60 game.

Playing devil's advocate here, but Civilization came to consoles almost 20 years ago with the original boasting SNES, Playstation, Saturn, and N-Gage (lol!) versions. Civ II also had a PSOne version. And of course Civilzation: Revolution graced PS3, 360, and the DS before moving onto smartphones later.

This is a moronic thread, but Civ isn't a good choice to rebut.

I am, however, fully aware of CivRev, and I find that to be a pale imitation of what Civilization IV or Civilization V (especially with expansions) can provide.

Last time I checked Dota 2 wasn't on consoles.

PC has "more AAA games" because of indies that are rated on a different scale than real AAA games made by big devs. Hence no PC exclusives winning GOTY.

And most PC gamers don't even have a rig that comes close to PS4.

I never said consoles were cheaper. Both things are an absolute waste of money. The only difference is that a console will waste your money once and then you're set for the next 8-10 years. In that regard the PC is kind of like an old piece of shit car that requires constant maintenance and replacement parts to keep on driving. It's really not cheap, no matter how you try to spin it.

But what do I care. This is an argument that's been raring for this entire forum's history so eh. Just buy whatever. No matter what you do, you're wasting your life on pixels on a screen.

Huh, nope. At best,you'll probably have to upgrade your GPU onc every 3-4 years, assuming you a have proper build, which is insanely easy. And that'll still outclass consoles.

I don't see what the issue is. Ironically, the price you spend on mandatory online is spend in upgrading.

Online is not mandatory. Unless I missed something, both the Xbone and PS4 works just fine without subscribing to the online "premium service".

Mandatory in the sense you have to pay for it. 50 euros per year. Anyway, whichever one is cheaper depends on your gaming habits and much.

I was just pointing out that upgrading your rig is very easy, considering the hard part is building it for the first time.

Simpy put, there is no benefit to make high profile PC exclusives given the ability of the consoles to simulate most of the experiences a PC can provide despite the power gap of high end systems and the fact that PC does not have a dedicated parent company focused on delivering high quality exclusive content to enthusiast PC owners.

Proof of what? That you don't need Xbox Live Gold to have a working Xbox? I downgraded from Gold to Silver about five years ago and I can still download DLC, demos and other useless crap. It works just fine and is not mandatory at all.

You don't have to pay 50 euros per year (you can do it quite a bit cheaper than that, but I get your point). If you don't want to play online, paying for the service isn't needed. OI know plenty of console and PC people who stick to SP games (including me for the last few years) and if that's the case, neither PS+ (or whatever they call it) nor XBL Gold is needed.

Besides RDR, UC, TLOU,Halo, and NIntendo's games, what? The top 10 of each year for, atleast, 5 years now, are always multiplats that are better on PC. 1, maybe 2 are exclusives. BTW, counting exclusives from all platforms doesn't count.
