Horizon Zero Dawn - Worthabuy?

Well he thinks the game is shit. Hes right about lot of things too many games are too easy.

The game is getting glowing reviews everywhere.

Anyway, I've said it from the beginning that this game looks nice, but nothing new or special from what I've seen. And it'll be forgotten once Zelda comes out... But hey, I'm glad people are enjoying it.

It's a fun game. Got a lot of content but he is right that it's painfully easy.

Pretty much any Xbone news is negative, and for good reason.

Finding one obscure negative article or video on PlayStation is very telling.

The only positive news on Xflop is from biased sources. The independent ones tell it like it is.

@loe12k: I think it's worth a buy in my opinion. It's very very good, everyone with a PS4 should be interested to say the least. It's in the club of one of PS4s best exclusive games I enjoy so far, If you liked the Witcher 3, (like me obviouly) you will get enjoyment from Zero Dawn, no joke. There are some very large similarities in the world/structure and that is probably because a bunch of people who worked on Witcher 3 might have help with Zero Dawn.

Loving it! graphics are stunning, gameplay is fun as hell. great sound too.. so far I'm very happy with it. (clock in 6hr+)

I'm also gonna highlight his takes on glowing reviews which is just NOT how I would say about a game unless I have played it myself and so I can give it my own opinion.

I already comment on the game itself, I'm still enjoying it, and if you want to read more on what I said, look for my post above. And it should be noted I'm also picking up Breath of the Wild tomorrow on my Wii U! I know I'm gonna have fun playing Zelda and Zero Dawn at the same time.

BTW hrt, if you really love Witcher 3, you'll also like Zero Dawn should you consider buying PS4 in the future.

But that's exactly what cows do also. Look at the imbalance of positive to mediocre reviews that Halo Wars 2 has received. But all any cow here posts about is Gamespot's score, not even the body of the review, which is quite telling. Its not something only Lems do. Cows are well known for their sucking off what fits their agenda.

It's not like it is an isolated environment. Horizon is sitting at a 88 score right now. Halo Wars to is at a 79.

GameSpot scores are one thing, but when the overall consensus is Sony has better exclusives, it is quite telling.

Forza games are the only Xbone games scoring highly. There are plenty of Sony AAA games scoring highly.

I also will watch some gameplay on Twitch to see if I will like a game.

You're never going to agree with anyone on everything, but this guy is usually good at pointing out flaws a lot of less independent reviewers miss or gloss over - often those details that might have rung warning bells. Take that for what it's worth - he's not there to grade games with an objective score. What he does provide is a different and pretty consistent voice, and that makes him a useful gauge in a way that rotating-roster journalism can't really offer.

Nope. I track a game from announcement to release. But regardless of review score, I have made my mind up about whether I am buying it on my own.

Do I get duds? Of course, I am a man, a human being. I don't claim to be perfect. Recore was a dud as was The Last Guardian. Both turned out to be boring shit. But I made that decision from actually playing, not WATCHING the interactive (key part of gaming) medium of gaming.

But hey, you listen to others and WATCH if that is your prerogative.

dude used a common debate tactic where you poke a bunch of small, almost meaningless holes in a person's argument so they don't have time to address all of them. only in this case he just makes a bunch of nit picky complaints without giving full context to what the exact problem is. like he showed that item that displayed enemy travel routes...am i to assume you have that item throughout the game and it's available in all situations? and he takes this weirdly reductionist position on the gameplay where he complains that you just roll everywhere...no, asshole. you are choosing to roll everywhere. it's like he's purposely over-simplifying the game with his screwball play style. he's not even giving it a chance it seems.

i'm not gonna say i disagree with him as i haven't played the game but his review style is just sloppy (triple negative, oh yeah!). and then he said that all PS4 games are the same at the end...yeah, that's some trust worthy insight right there. he's right about the VA, though. really janky and awkward.

tl:dr of this guys review, "i'm too sophisticated for this game. hhhmmmff. *turns up nose*" PC snobbery at it's worst
