How can you watch out for spoilers, when you know for a fact that Bethesda can't write?
I'm surprised how little has leaked given the interest around this game. Excited to see if it lives up to hopes/expectations.
If you wanna see leaks, you gotta go to Reddit for that. I haven't seen any leaks on X though...yet.
Surprisingly haven't seen them there, either. Then again, I'm not actively seeking them out.
The developer care about RPG alot and this is a new canvas: in space - they can push the passion of inspiration to the limit. Todd Howard and Bethesda have a deep soul for this - compare to Spiderman 2 it is empty and merchandize and no soul like advertisement for the product.
Starfield is new and they make it from inspiration and lasting for the player - not to flog a dead horse like PlayStation boring campaign of set piece QTE if you understand my meaning.

I posted the main leak on the previous page… On X (twitter) for the past day or so now
Im going to say 8 with and 88 meta.
I agree that the game HAS to be good from Bethesda. MS isn't going to put up with sub par games anymore.
But if it is bad.....oh boy
I just hope reviewers and PLAYERS don't fall into the same crap that they did with Halo Infinite. Where they are blinded by hype and can't see how bad the game really is.
Time will tell

Stay off gaming websites for the next couple weeks.
The banhammer will cometh for those who post spoilers though.

BG3 has completely consumed me. I don't follow anything gaming related ever since this masterpiece came out.
@davillain: there was a 40 minute ping off screen video floating around of some dude who got it early. I don’t want to make any judgements on the graphics but there were other questionable things I saw while skipping through it a bit. Like the ladder thing and space flight.
@davillain: Was just saying that I prefer CGI over live action stuff in general. Didn’t intend to infer that Bethesda specifically has or hasn’t used live action before or that I was surprised they did with Starfield.
I wonder if cows realise that their and Sony's obsession with exclusivity is why Starfield is now ironically exclusive. The reason MS is buying publishers is because Sony keeps chasing that exclusivity.
*Shrug. I hope that obsessions is worth it and makes up for not playing Starfield.

Call us, send us a mail, when you have this game running at a minimum of 60fps on the next gen Xbox in 5-6 years from now.

The PS5 has been getting bangers since the very beginning. Not anyone's fault it took the X 3 years to get their first game.
@ghostofgolden: Saw some from elsewhere, prob the same leak. Hoping the rest of the game is better than the 40min I saw. It wasn't bad, pretty good actually. Just not great. A couple of odd design choices which I'm assuming were just compromises.
Lighting looks great, though.

Do you wonder why PS has no games in 2023, and so far, none in 2024? Did they run out of bangers?

MS Studios released three 9s and a 10 in 2021. Last year Sony studios released two 8s and a 9.
Dem bangers though. :-S

As far as we know, they have one "banger" this year and one "banger" next year.
The truth is, Sony was making a load of PS4 games before, that were long in development. And now they've dried up, Sony can't "bang" out the "bangers" anymore.
Sony will also begin long development projects for current gen consoles now just like everyone else.
Either that or we start blaming management. "Where are teh games", "why are they taking so long". ;-)
Certainly questions have to me asked now we only have one "banger" coming from them this year.

Well, the answer is, they are focused on GaaS and PC's now, sadly.

Several games on PS5 run at 30-40 fps unless you take the time to butcher the "settings". Even the big headliners like God of War, Ratchet and Clank, Horizon, and Spider-Man.
This is more or less a console issue, they are kind of weak for this gen's most technical games. I know I'll probably be running this at 100 fps on my PC.
Early release coming soon! Wonder when the review embargo lifts..
The embargo lifts on August 31st. IGN is said to go live on that day ASAP.
Nice!!
Looks like No Man's Sky to me. I'm not sure this is going to be the huge hit everyone assumes it will.
I used to think Starfield looked like it was taking the pages of Star Citizen but this looks more in line with No Man's Sky as I happened to be a fan of the game.
Ugh, I could get the the Premium Edition for $35 and play the game early.. but it's only 1 week.. must resist..
Very interested in how Starfield will review tomorrow. The leaked gameplay of empty planets and invisible walls is very different from the trailer footage. I still think it will get an average Metacritic around an 85. https://t.co/TeGBUdIoXU

What's the point of empty, barren planets in this or other games? Just to say you have so many planets to explore?
My best guess is to terraform barren worlds as time passes when gathering resources. Finding planets that support life is gonna be rare.
