Life on earth sucks, can't wait to go to space and leave it all behind! Hopefully it is as bug free as the guy breaking NDA claimed. Very excited for the launch!

Flop or not is based on hype level vs how well the game scored on Gamespot. You should add a poll if possible.

Also if anyone is thinking "sure just have low hype levels and game will be an automatic hit".....yeah but that's like taking the safest gamble every time and barely coming out even. Your not really losing money....but not exactly winning either. The real pwnage comes when the game is hyped high and the hype is met.

Yeah, you are right, technically a poll is needed. But I have to say I agree with nod on this one. If a title of this magnitude scores below a 9 it's somewhat of a flop. I mean first new universe for the team in like 25 years. Should be something really special!

Very hyped and will play it on Xbox Gamepass.

I don't care much whether it scores 7, 8, 9 or 10 out of 10 on Gamespot. I care even less about its metascore. I have heard stories about Starfield haters who have set up 100 accounts and are to rate it 1 just to lower the metascore. Talk about being childish and a sore loser.

Personal hype 9/10 or better, level of feature integration shown is just something we've not seen for ages, on GS likely 8/10.

You guys need to predict the user score. Its what matters most.

@davillain: A flop all depends on the expectations of a game.

To use the most extreme example:

If GTA 6 gets a 9 here on GS and a metacritic score of 89, it will be considered a huge flop lol.

in fact, scoring less than like 94 on metacritic is a flop by GTA / Rockstar North standards.

GTA IV and GTA V both have 98 on MC

RDR2 and GTAIII have 97

GTA Vice City and San Andreas both have 95.

so even if GTA6 gets 93, it will have sort of flopped, everyone is expecting a 95-99 and "best game ever" kind of title, not just "one of the best games of the year".

Same applies to Zelda games, Kojima made Metal Gear games etc. scoring below 90 on MC = flop.

But if Horizon 3 gets 81 on MC I think thats a huge success.

Surprised that GamePass members don't get early access.

The early access only applies if you pre-order the Premium Edition to play the game on August 31st/September 1st depending on the region you live of course. As SolidGame_basic says, Game Pass Members don't get this early access but in all fairness, they are paying to rent games so its fair game as they should wait till September 6th.

Seems like this game is breaking SW lol. I think most genuinely don't want it to fail.

Although a 9/10 is the more likely outcome, I really wish this game gets a 8/10 or a 10/10 to spice this place up. A 7/10 would be even spicier.

I think Gamespot will give it a 7.

I don't really care about the score, I will check out the GOTY edition in a couple of years like I do for Bethesda titles. I just finished the F4 GOTY edition last year, so I'm in no hurry for another 200hr Bathesda game.

A 7/10? That's the worst prediction you've ever given.

I personally don't want any games to fail, but if it's janky/broken, especially from AAA devs, they should get backlash.

Zelda Wind Waker and Skyward Sword shows critics bias towards the series. No way any other games gets a pass for that awful tri force quest or Skyward Sword motion controls.

As for my score, that's what I think GS will give it. This site is up and down on scores all the time, this is the place that gave uncharted 4 a 10, so anything is possible.

Starfield won't get a 7. Possibly an 8, sure, but a 7 for a game that Bethesda has clearly put effort into for once is not gonna happen.

It won't bother me if it's a 10 or a 7, I know what to expect from Bethesda, so I won't even read any reviews here or anywhere else as I'm 2yrs away from buying it.

@sakaixx: You don't have to tell me, I certainly think Zelda is the most overhyped game franchise ever. Although I can understand a lot of the hype around BOTW, just not for me personally.

@hardwenzen: I have been reading online that the reforge gaming clip was taken out of context (the one where he is surprised the other guy got a code). But it does not surprise me he didn't get one, and not even for his anti-Xbox takes, but the fact of why he lost his streaming channel would cause me to not send him one. No company should want to be associated with stuff like that

I played all the Fallout and Elder Scrolls games several years after they released. I'll be waiting to play this one too.

Starfield has been delayed 2 times in a full year until now. If Bethesda can release a game with hardly any bugs, it shows they've come a long way. I always value a delayed game needing extra time with care. Hopefully, Bethesda learned their lessons with FO76 but lucky for me, I check out FO games after 4😉

It'll probably end up in the low to mid 90s on MC. This is very much the game Xbox Game Studios has wanted to cook up for the past like 15 years.
