Something that has to do with videogames, obviously.
Have you? If so, why? What was it?
It is a pretty common thing to do. Make a stand! Let them know!
I haven't, I think. Probably not.

My brother gets motion sickness from FPS games too :O
I thought he was just an idiot :O
I'm having a real hard time wanting to buy an EA game for this new gen.
On the non-game front: F*** the History Channel (after 2012/end of the world nonsense, I can't watch them anymore).
I currently don't support MS because they insist on selling the One with that Kinect bullshit. But I'm also hearing they're struggling in other areas as well (OS sucks).
*laughs*
Yeh, all Activision games. I simply cannot accept the Work practice they have shown, so I have not bought a game from activision from CoD4 and farwards.
It is not a hate towards the games which are fine, or the devs that Work hard. But there is too much Activision stands for, and do that I can not accept in an way (related to working conditions and customer service).
I'm no longer buying physical media from retailers. I used to go to Gamestop for my games, then I switched to Amazon for a while. The last physical game I ordered from them was Beyond: Two Souls. Now that I have the option of eliminating the middle man, I'm taking it. I believe in giving the most amount of money possible to the developers.
never but getting close with Capcom with all those stupid rip off upgrade versions their games like SF4

If you believe that, then I say "keep boycotting them forever". I don't want to play with dumb people on Xbox Live.
One of my most anticipated games is Final Fantasy XV; it's been there at the top of my list since it was first announced.
And that's the problem: because of Square-Enix's horrible practices as a company and specifically with this game I'm boycotting purchasing Final Fantasy XV new. I'll purchase it for $55 used at Gamestop the next day if I have to, but I will not be giving Square-Enix my money.
I'm boycotting pre-orders and day one purchases on account of publishers' tendency of being dishonest jerkheads, and the games press largely playing along, partially due to the pressure caused by the impatience of their audience.
I very nearly boycotted Splinter Cell Black List. I was losing faith in how the series was departing from it's intelligent stealth roots, seeing so many previews of cover shooting action sequences. Plus I was wasn't able to accept that new voice.
But I saw the reviews all pointing to the game style options (Ghost, Panther, Commando) that leaves it up to the player how they want to approach the mission objectives. And when I did play it I started to really feel as I was playing the old games, since I always took the Ghost route to sneak and non lethally take down the enemy deployments that stood between me and the objective. After paying Conviction I can't tell you how good it felt to shoot out lights and hide bodies again, lol.
The optional side missions added more variety to the gameplay, especially the ones by Grimm, which really were akin to the classic games with the zero detection tolerance for completion. Add to that the customizable gear and the overall experience was a grand revival to what Splinter cell should be. Even if you can go in all guns blazing, that's up to the player and the old schoolers can still enjoy the "true" SC experience.
It was a boycott that almost made me miss a great game.
I don't shop at gamestop.
And I refuse to only buy games used from Capcom, square enix, Bethesda, EA, and Nintendo. Ill still play their games but I buy them used so they don't get any of my money.
So you... refuse to buy even used games from companies you hate with a passion and yet, you'll only buy them used? What? :s
not an outright boycott, but back during the online pass days if a game had an online pass i would make sure to pick it up out of the bargain bin rather than paying full price.
I've not purchased an EA game since they bought exclusive NFL license rights. I found the "NFL 2K" series to be superior to Madden and was pissed that I would never again be able to play that series. NFL 2K5 was $20, forced EA to sell Madden for $30, and pushed them to improve their gameplay. Now Madden is nothing but stale rehashes.
It's the same with College Hoops. EA's basketball games are horrible and EA killed the "College Hoops 2K" series in the same manner as NFL.
Not really, but I'm thinking about doing it to Gearbox after they fucked us over with Aliens CM.
That game was already screwed before it was thrown into Gearbox's lap. Then the publisher didn't give them enough time to correct all the issues the game had. So it just got released as is. Not like Gearbox create the game from the ground up like they did with Borderlands 1 & 2. Aliens CM was already about 75% complete when they got it.
Lot of boycotting.
I'm not too surprised though. It seems people have their reasons. You just hear(on SW) the word being thrown around a bit. Mostly just threads that link to articles of people boycotting, or telling to boycott.
I was just wondering how many SW'ers did it themselves.
I might boycott something. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. Bring back muh reboot Lara >:(

Your statement doesn't make any sense.
And I refuse to only buy games used from .... Ill still play their games but I buy them used so they don't get any of my money.
This makes no sense whatsoever
There are certain companies' I'll never buy a game from because there games are shit.
Does that count?
Oh, you don't like their games? But nothing wrong with the company itself? Certain practices and such.

Bethesda and Nintendo should never be put in the same sentence as EA and Crapcom.
**** DmC and Ninja Theory.
You're missing out on a pretty good game. It's well reviewed and a lot of people ended up liking it (whether you've played it or not)
Going into hate a game because of the developer is kinda silly. Sure you don't have to like their games but saying "**** them" is kinda strong.
I currently don't support MS because they insist on selling the One with that Kinect bullshit. But I'm also hearing they're struggling in other areas as well (OS sucks).
This ^
Quit supporting MS after I bought the 360 & it got failed HDD. I bought another one for $100 & that one failed too. Then it got RRoD & I sold the replacement on Ebay.

Don't bother. Devil May Cry fans have gone as far as to say DmC is worse than Devil May Cry 2. You can't take their comments or suggestions serious at all. You can't even pretend they make a point when they say shit like that.
I tend to avoid Samsung and Google, so however those would relate to gaming, that's your answer. No Samsung displays and no android-powered hardware.

Then he should adjust the FOV.
@freedomfreak:
If you are boycotting something in the video game world... seriously, you need to get out more.
Why? I generally try to avoid gamestop and other company practices I don't agree with,
