Got my PS3 ..

Got my PS3 today aswell as a Bravia 32inch HDTV (KDL-32D3000-1080p) and i have to say i'm loving it, only got to play NGS so far, but it really is amazing how well it looks (even though i havnt configured the TV yet).

Only problems so far was with HDMI, when i first booted up the console, my TV wouldnt recognize the HDMI input from the PS3, but the 1.82 patch sorted that out just fine. Oh and the update.....how can something take that long, was the update a few gigs ?? :lol:

No BluRay movies just yet, so i've no idea how thats gonna look but i'd imagine its gonna be pretty awesome.

So onto my question, what exactly does the 1.82 patch do ?

Anyway i'll see some of you on Resistance in a few ;)

PS: I've also tried out a few 360 games on the new TV, with Forza you really have to look hard to see any jaggies at all, Gears looks even better that it did on my monitor, (i really didnt think that was possible) :D

My 360 has lasted me since day 1 of launch so i can only hope my PS3 is as reliable ;)

Check out the PS3 board, pray you won't get bashed out of your mind with that Gears of War sig... probably not... I've been in the Cow section of this place, they're pretty respectable if you don't get on their nerves... Anyways, theres a sticky in the PS3 Board with all the update notes.

actually he is right, not that ps3 is bad but you could just have waited 1 month and buy it for 100 dollars less.I still don't have the ps3 but it isn't because i don't like the console or because i find it expensive it is just because since i'm only getting a hd tv in a couple of weeks a blu-ray player would be worthless to me now and athere aren't games i want to play yet.

I don't own a Playstaion 3. But playing The Darkness and Dirt on a 42 inch HD plasma tv in 1080p was total kickass.

Maybe you could have saved a lot of money by buying a 720p TV, because you really don't see a difference on a 32" TV. The response time is more important. But regardless congrats on the new stuff. Have fun!

Join the club! Congrats on the PS3! Btw, patch 1.82 simply fixes the RGB Full setting which your new HDTV would love. You might have to raise the brightness on your HDTV a lil once enabling RGB Full though.

Yeah. I don't like the PS3 because it's too expensive, there aren't many games, and what few games I do want on there don't justify the price. I also don't like the controller becauseit just feels very last minute and sloppy. I also haven't heard many good things about the online service.

Resistance, however, resembles no reason at all that the PS3 is in last place. It's like Alien VS. Predator was for the Jaguar: A superb game on a not-so-superb system.

Dude, configure your tv first THEN play your PS3 or 360. It took me damn near 2 months to finally configure my tv the way I wanted it. Congratulations on your new purchase. ;)
