Am I the only one who thinks that's a message to the fans? Because the game has been in development for ages thus "It's been a long time coming" and a possible 2015 release date ala "Almost there".
I believe that it was indeed a message to gamers and the fans.. i guess we can officially say its either a Holiday 2015 release or a March 2016 release.
( seeing how Final Fantasy Type-0 is coming out March 2015 i think sort of say FF15 is a 2016 release i mean two PS4 FF games in the same year? doubtful )
Atleast the anime hair has been toned down to believable levels though I still haven't seen all the characters. I suppose they'll still act in most melodramatic emo way possible but that's something I've come to expect from JRPG's.

Am i the only one who enjoyed XIII ? game was great and the combat system was fun, not to mention beautiful visuals, sure it was far from the best JRPG last gen, but i still enjoyed it.
FFXV looks pretty good too, setting and scope is great, love the music in the trailer, graphics are awesome, combat system seems to be ok i guess...but God i really, really hate the designs of the main characters, i feel they are about to sing a J-Pop song in any damn minute, possible huge deal breaker for me.
No there are others who liked the game. I wouldint call it my favorite jrpg of last gen but I did enjoy it still. I really liked the combat system.
Yeah, not a lot of people talk about the combat system, which I think is one of the best in the series for me.
Same here. Its deffently one of my favorite FF combat systems and I felt it got better with later games in the series.

Xenoblade X will outscore FF15. Quote me on this. Also, FF15 has XCX beat technically (for obvious reasons) but the art direction in Xenoblade is much better thus far. Like waaaaayyyyyy better.
iv seen nothing that puts xenoblad x in a greater advantage in art direction. All ive seen in forest,green and space.
You haven't been looking hard enough then (which doesn't surprise me since you hate how loved the original Xenoblade is). From what we have seen of FF15 (which is not a lot) it's a lot more flat and uniform compared to XCX and while it is trying to be a bit more grounded it's a little boring. X has tons of rolling landscapes and organic foilage along with really unique and different creature design. Game seems more alive thus far "but" I will say we haven't seen all of 15 yet so there is still time but currently X is winning this handily.

Though its weird that you bring up how I think its overrated(which it is imo) but remember I dont hate the game itself. So I didint look at X and go pfft and walked away. They've shown more than forest. Unfortunately I can't find gifs of the city location they showed. In fact, they haven't actually shown any forest location. The area they've shown off the most in the game is essentially equivalent to Guar Plains/The bionis leg or the Fallen Arm. A forest will be made mainly of trees of which there are very little thus far. Somthing like Makna Forest. Something more like this

Also, you give the impression of someone who didn't like the game. You literally post nothing but negatives about the game any time it's discussed/ Forgive me if I interpret that as not liking it. It's fine if you don't like it btw, the world isn't going to end because different people don't like different games.
Looks amazing and I can't wait to play the demo. The only downsize is that it won't be PS4 exclusivce, and it will probably be downgraded to the weaker console xbox one. Just like it happend with FF13.
This is a fantasy game set in another world. So why do the characters have exaggerated contemporary Japanese haircuts? Its BS. Nomura may be gone but the damage is done.
Not getting hyped about a possible open world at all. As far as I know its all smoke and mirrors. I very much doubt we will get a Final Fantasy XII type open world. I expect maybe 2 or 3 FFX style calm lands and thats it.
Square will continue to make games but their days as a AAA developer are long over and will never return.
Reviewers will give this a 7 based soley on graphics and production values. The actual story and gameplay will really be worth 5/10
