Revealed in a Bioware livestream: "On PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Dragon Age: Inquisition will run at 900p and 30FPS. PC Specs have not been revealed."

Getting this on PC anyway (duh...) Seems as though the PS4 & Xbox One just arn't next-gen enough.

However, DA Inquisition not running at 1080p on the PS4 seems iffy. Unity can definitely be to heavy for the consoles, but DA is cross gen and doesn't look has advanced to not be 1080p.

Resolution wars! I never even noticed Watch Dogs wasn't 1080p, enjoyed the game thoroughly but once I found out long after playing, I became super disappointed in hind sight.

So apparently, the dev never actually stated it was 900p. It he said

"I guess people will figure this out by themselves"

If someone knows the point in the stream in which he refers to the resolution, that'd be cool to know.

Also, only a translated site is reporting the 900p thing, so, it's unconfirmed anyway.

Fake. Already confirmed by Gaf and me who watched the stream yesterday. At no point has anyone claimed 900p/30 on either consoles. Sorry but no pop corns tonight.

Why not game on PC then? I agree, 1080P should be the standard, but I wouldn't go out of my way to not get a game because of it. I'd just invest in a system which I know will put out these games in 1080P and beyond.

No it's not the X1 holding back the PS4.. it's the weak ass CPU's they put in these things. The GPU's in both are sufficient to run a game at 1080p, those CPU's on the other hand can't handle an open world environment and still push those pixels.

Well I still have a 720p TV, so this means nothing to me. Maybe I'll get it on PC.

First Assassins Creed Unity is 900p/30fps on both consoles, now Dragon Age Inquisition is 900p/30fps on both consoles. Both games are being promoted for the Xbox One, and Xbox gets all the DLC early, so am I the only one putting two and two together and thinking Microsoft is throwing large amounts of money at Ubisoft and EA to force parity and make the Xbox One seem more desierable? Ubisoft already admited to forcing parity, though me thinking Microsoft paied them off to do so is just my opinion. I am thinking the same thing is happening with Dragon Ageas well, EA just hasn't said anything. Look at The Witcher 3 its a way more demanding game than Dragon Age, and its suppose to be 900p/30fps on PS4, so Dragon Age should be able to hit 1080p no problem, on PS4 at least. The Witcher 3's first console gameplay was also on the Xbox One, which is running the game at 720p/30fps. Now, if the PS4 version of the game drops down to 720p/30fps, then I know something is up.

And here I was thinking the PS4 was 50% more powerful!

We have been telling you peasants for almost a year now that the bargain basement console hardware can't handle what either MS or Sony promised. A consumer grade CPU from 2009 and a mid-range GPU from 2010 is not going to be to push 1080p/60FPS with anything more than bare minimum effects and post-processing. So you either get 900p/30FPS and maybe mediocre DX11 effects and 2x FSAA and Aniso or 1080p/60FPS with minimal effects and no post-processing. It is either/or, not both, you will be lucky if in 2 years they don't start bumping it back to 790 or lower just to do DX11 effects and AA.
