Of all the things that matters most in the enjoyment of a console its the 180p more.

You could post a big sign in a shop advertising the resolution difference with images from both consoles and they would simply buy the console with more games they want or cheaper price. They difference in image is that small.

what they don't see is the network behind the consoles. MS has a way better network infrastructure than Sony. That's actually more critical for next-gen gaming than resolution.

You'd at least have some sort of argument, albeit weak, for 720p vs 1080p. I don't think the difference is that big, but you can notice it. 900p, not so much. Even if you had some mutant "eagle-like" vision, the difference still wouldn't be enough to alter the game experience. Maybe, *Maybe* if you were sitting at a computer and looking at the game on a monitor 14" away from your eyes, you'd see a difference.

But, if you want to hang your hat on something that subtle, go ahead. But I still think it's ridiculous.

First off, just because I have an XB1, does not make me a lemming. I plan on picking up a PS4 before too long. Secondly, the only reason it was brought up at all was because cows touted "teh power of the cell" every 5 minutes; and it was serious egg on their face when they got inferior multiplats (some PS3 ports were out-and-out broken, Like Skyrim). Lastly, again - 900p vs 1080p is hardly noticeable, if at all, on consoles.

The only thing that will make this a "long gen" is having to listen to the "mountain out of a mole hill" banter that you and cows are making out of something so trivial.

Correct. Constantly making excuses for MS producing a turd and downplaying the PS4's advantages makes you a lemming. The Cell was powerful, it was also notoriously difficult to code for and some of the SPUs had to be diverted to bail out the shit GPU, hence the inferior multiplats up until last year.

I think you misunderstand the reason for most people responding to threads like this. We (XB1 users) don't care about the trivial - and yes, it's trivial - 900p vs 1080p difference, you (cows) do. So, continuously pointing it out is just self-serving. XB1 is not getting broken multiplats, or mulitplats that are missing features. We are, on occasion, getting multiplats with 900p instead of 1080p. Again, so what?

So, sorry to burst your bubble, but I have nothing to worry about because I don't care about the 180p resolution difference, and I doubt very many XB1 owners care, either.

As a pc gamer, I fully support this comment.. The fact we have morons arguing about the graphics rather than raising concerns if it will be a good game with depth and replayability.. And I am surprised seeing so many pc gamers jumping on the bandwagon, here I thought the pc gaming community held up rpg's like Baldur's Gate 2 and Planescape Torment as some of the best rpg's out there.. Games that look awful by today's standards but are amazing, have depth, challenge, and replayability.. Instead we get a bunch of jackasses who seem to care about how shiny the flashing colors are on the screen than anything else.. It honestly seems like people now a days want to watch a movie rather than play something with actual thought.
