Does Wii U need Super Mario Galaxy 3 badly?

Imitating animal noises is something children do. I didn't need my game character doing it every few minutes, direct to the screen. I don't understand how that is "taking it too seriously". Annoying things are annoying.

Almost anything Mario says/yells is something a child would.

I would totally welcome a new Mario game. 3D World was indeed a bit lame. Can't really remember any stage from the game, and it wasn't very long ago I played it.

At the same time, he still has the traits of a child. Like pulling pranks on other kids (namely Susie) and refusing to take baths.

Btw (since you posted before I could edit), I never played 3D World yet. But when I was watching gameplay vids and hearing him say "meow", I just shrugged it off.

No, it already has 5 games that are Mario Galaxy+ quality including 3D World.

I'm still waiting for that high-tech Zelda. That would be the breakthrough game for me.

I couldn't get into it because of that sloppy battle system myself. Everything else was great, but the combat killed it for me even before they gave me dumb AI partners to deal with.

Maybe..I tried the demo and it didnt stick with me. I didnt like the battle system.

I would prefer a new Mario Sunshine and a New Luigi's Mansion

The game uses and abuses it. It's almost like it's the only power up in the game, and it's not. There should have been more clone shit or some of the other stuff. Like Galaxy 2 didn't abuse yoshi, the spring, the drill, the cloud, the bees. It kept it fresh and going. 3D World the Cat Suit felt like it was the way to go the vast majority of the time, and it gets boring. Like all it's there for is reach high point to find green star. There is no like mastery to getting that star, it's just satisfying your inner aspie to look around and pointless shit.

Good game, but that overuse on the catsuit, the not so tight controls, the iffy camera put it a good notch or 2 behind Galaxy 2. **** I would argue it wasn't even the best platformer of 2013, much less up to snuff with Galaxy 2.

12.2 million isn't well? it was in the top 10 sellers for the Wii.

Galaxy 2 did NOT sell that high. NSMB Wii did.

Let Galaxy die. I'd rather Nintendo do something different with the 3D Mario games, or make something different since we aleady have a 2D and 3D Mario game on the Wii-U.

It's more like an awkward hermaphrodite of 2d and 3d. Different from the status quo, so automatically not uninspired dog shit that is the new super mario bros games, but it's got some awkward elements to it also. Good game though, way the **** better than Super Mario Easy Land.

I never said Galaxy 2 did, it sold around 6 million. Galaxy 1 however, did sell over 12 million. And since you mentioned NSMB Wii, that was over 28 million. Don't cite numbers if you don't know them.

Okay, I was way off on NSMB's sales, but still, just because Mario Galaxy 1 sold that high doesn't mean the sequel did.

The WiiU is finished in these streets. There's no "saving it".. They literally lost their foothold within a 6 months of the other platforms launching. No 3rd party support and No competent online gaming.. Stick a fork in it.

I don't understand how the catsuit is overpowered when most of the later levels have flat floating platforms that you can't climb up. If anything the tanooki suit is overpowered

I liked it specifically because it was like 2D games; it was no longer exploration-platformer, but a pure platfomer in 3D.

Considering how most 3D platformers had to sacrifice that feel of a pure platformer because of the perspective, I like the fact 3D Land (and World) went ahead and proposed a new direction.

With the lineup the Wii U has coming, no, it doesn't need a Galaxy 3. I would absolutely love to see it though, or Sunshine 2

No, I don't think it's necessary. I wouldn't mind a sequel, as I loved Galaxy 1 and 2, but I would rather see something new or a sequel to Sunshine.

Take away the gravity and the galaxy games are just as linear as 3d world. Only difference is one has a flagpole at the end if a stage and one has a star

If you ever decide to play them, i highly recommend you start with the first one, and treat them both as one giant interconnected game. Rosalina's debut in Super Mario Galaxy is breath taking and should never be missed, the entire game is actually quite cinematic in its presentation, more so than people could probably imagine unless they completed it. Probably the best story designed and told in a Mario platformer.
