As a whole, PC gaming is growing. There's plenty of proof in this thread already posted.

Baloney. Show proof.
I just said we have no way to know the exact number of DD copies sold, which is entirely true. Also, on consoles, cuts are much larger than %30.
Does PC have large publishing fees you have to pay to Sony and MS?
Do Sony or MS take a cut from every PC game sale, like they do with PS3 and 360 sale?
No, on the PC, there is only the Steam, or the retailer, so in the end, pubs get more revenue, and are also able to discount their games on the PC more quickly...
And what are you saying, indie developers have minimal chance for their products to become succesful on consoles, due to all the restrictions from console vendors. Their chances are much better on the PC, due to the open nature of the platform, which is the reason why the PC has the largest indie scene in the industry...

All of the above is actually proving the OPPOSITE.
That console development commands a premium price.
And still devs trip all over themselves to go console, because they knew where the sales is at.
This is the gen of the multiplats, due to high development costs, most devs do their best to expand themselves to as much platforms as possible, to widen the install base...
That has nothing to do with the decline of PC gaming, also don't forget, PC has no first-party, no one pays the PC orriented developers to keep their games exclusive on the PC...
