@mikhail: No your not gonna embarrass me because you are a dumbass. Consoles do not use DVI for the soul reason I mentioned. The fact you wanna sit there and ignore that is your problem. Untill those become standard on consumer televisions console makers will never focus on that. You can't school me on something that you know Jack Shit about.

PS4 also supports HDMI 2.0 which is more then capable of 4k at 60fps. Let me know if you need further education on the matter.

#152 Posted by mikhail (2092 posts) -

@topgunmv: Yeah...when both the PS4 supports HDMI 2.0 AND there are 120hz TV's that will accept 120hz input over HDMI 2.0, let me know.

You said consoles physically lacked the hardware to do it.

You are incorrect.

Really? When is PS4 getting that hot HDMI 2.0 firmware update? What about the Xbox One?

Again, you said nothing about firmware.

You said they lacked the physical hardware to do it.

But by all means, keep talking in circles.

ive had no problems on ps4 not one slowdown

#157 Edited by PAL360 (26883 posts) -

@AM-Gamer: 'Why are we debating power between these two anymore?'

I would say it's for the same reason cows never admited that 360 was as capable (or even superior on terms of GPU and RAM) as PS3. PS4 is indeed more powerful than X1, and just like last gen, multiplats prove it.

#158 Posted by AM-Gamer (3936 posts) -

@PAL360: Except PS3 closed the gap on multiplats and it had a handful of exclusives that looked better then anything on the 360.

#159 Posted by PAL360 (26883 posts) -

@AM-Gamer: Exclusives wise, i think games like Gears 3, Forza 4 and Halo 4 looked as good as the best PS3 ones. As for multiplats, the gap was indeed closed, which, once again proves both consoles had similar power.

Did you forget that PS3 was supposed to make 360 games look one generation behind? Well, it never happened.

lol lems made the party way to early on the other thread

thats shows how desperate they are

#161 Posted by Tighaman (956 posts) -

I dont listen to DF they didnt go through the ps4 for hours as they did with the xbox one framerate problems and they looked at the same spots xbox had framerate slow downs I know people say its slow downs on the ps4 too.

Apparently quite a few people on SW and GameFaqs are experiencing heavy stuttering on PS4. Still, I might pick it up there.

Great through level 27 for me thus far and no stuttering what so ever.

Did you type that with your elbows?

#165 Posted by AM-Gamer (3936 posts) -

@Tighaman: no it really doesn't been playing it for the past 2 days.

#166 Posted by AM-Gamer (3936 posts) -

@PAL360: A generation behind? Other then rabbid fanboyism nobody said that. My impression was that the PS3 was slightly more powerful but much harder to program for. That only a select few games would show it's advantages while many multiplatform titles would lag behind. I'd say that's exactly what happened.

As for the PS4/X1 you have two systems with very similar architecture. The PS4 just keeps outperforming it because it's simply more powerful.

#167 Posted by PAL360 (26883 posts) -

@AM-Gamer:

Well, the cell got crazy hype, while the 360 advantages were never that praised! At the end, in terms of capabilities, they were probably the closest consoles in any generation.

the difference may not be huge, but PS4 is indeed more powerful than X1.

Quantum Break blows it away. Almost everyone who has played The Order is saying it's a cinamatic rail shooter. It's not even running at a true 1080p resolution. Everyone knows the game runs better on a PC. Only an idiot like yourself would make those comparisons. Keep crying you trolling Cow. Greatness is coming....

Oh please you sad biased troll, quantum break wasn't even impressive,it was a brain dead shooter with a nice looking character,NPC look dull FX look ok nothing impressive.

The order has never been 1080p with the ratio it has it would be quite difficult,do you even know at what resolution was quantum break.? Because the Alan wake on xbox 360 is basically one of the most gimped games resolution wise so i would not even go there if i were you.

@blackace said:

They pretty much do. This thread is pretty much meaningless. Grasping a straws. No one complained with Knack ran at 30fps and dropped to 14fps. lol!! That's a thousands times worse then this mainly because the hardware designer "Cerny" created the game. Cow don't want to talk about that. lmao!! Now close this dumb thread.

http://www.gamespot.com/forums/system-wars-314159282/knack-frame-rate-drops-to-the-low-teens-14fps-30932555/

At least Knack was 1080p,Dead Rising was 720p and dropped into the 14 FPS as well...hahaha

But but but Dead Rising doesn't count...hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa

720p @14 FPS lol...

Knack vs DR3?

100's enemies on the screen? Compared to what?

I really liked playing Diablo 3 on PS3 with friends last year. But I wont buy this for full price.

Parity is closing even faster then I expected. Like I said, "By the time E3 rolls around next year the parity will be pretty much closed. 52fps is not even worth a threads. That's seriously grasping at straws. Updated SDK in Nov and DX12 + update in Spring 2015. Game on.

DX12 isnt going to give the Xbox One any advantage, it already has low level access. Updated SDK gives Xbox One maybe a 2 fps boost in most games, not much at all, although still something. how is the parity "going to be closed?" lmao, does Sony's tools not get more advanced and better aswell as time goes on? that there isnt more optimizations left for the PS4?

fanboy at its finest ahh. M$oft's team moves ahead while Sony stays completely still in console development and resources and software, interesting. <-----Blackace logic

But is this performance a deal-breaker for Xbox One? Given how infrequently we bumped into the issue, even during frenzied sand dune battles with two allied AI players in tow, the issue is surprisingly rare. Most drops tend to be imperceptible, and in the end, we resorted to scanning hours of footage to track most shifts downwards from the 60fps mark. A screen filled with effects-spewing creatures isn't necessarily the ticket to a frame-rate drop - even at its extremes the Xbox One holds up well save for a few choice moments.

Really doesn't seem like a big deal; if you have a PS4 get that, if you have Xbone you are missing out on almost nothing,

Nice. This is what the "wars" have come to. They resorted to scanning hours of footage to find this and fanboys beat their chests about it. Like I said, I played and loved it on PS3, don't feel the need or want to pay full price again a year later. But to all that have it, or are buying it, have fun gaming.

Damn consoles can't even run d3 properly. Sucks w/ controllres anyways.

Its actually more enjoyable with controllers - I like how they have mapped the buttons on DS4

Bullshit. Why the fuck would anyone care about two versions when the differences can't be seen with the naked eye?

Goddamn these sites are hungry for clicks.

Evidently on the console versions if your Hardcore character dies, you can just turn your console off or go to your dashboard without hitting X and it won't save the death, when you reload the game he will magically be back alive.

Same thing with bad rolls at the enchantress or blacksmith...don't like the item? Just turn your console off and do it again. And again, and again.

Superior version indeed!

#185 Posted by cainetao11 (17594 posts) -

@joel_c17: all good dude. Was looking at it (AGAIN) today. Between that and metro redux, but honestly its because I want something to put in my console. I have played all three of those games in 2013 so I didn't break.
