@Zero_epyon: see I really hope the ai isn't scripted. I really hope ND can blow me away.
Their abilities are not. I fully expect them to search under vehicles, communicate with each other efficiently and react to the player in smart ways. I remember the original demo for PS3 when Joel ran out of ammo while shooting. The AI heard it and yelled out, "I know what that means!" and started moving in quicker. They actually did that in the game, calling out that Joel was out to other AI and they started rushing. Looks like we're going to have less escorting too, so that might make it more immersive than the first.
Its someone else's playthrough rather than your own as the game is about open space. Incorporating stealth to full on action back and forth with enemies. I would say they helped the playthrough by scripting somethings to make it as perfect as it can be to get there point across. Your playthrough should be different though as the final game will be systemic. The expection is you should have your own emergent moment to moment gameplay. You don't have to go exactly to the same places the demo went use tools same way. The question is will AI behaviour hold up. The first one not everything held up but still was one of the best visceral encounter base gameplay (genuine people not fanboys in this forum have praised it for that).
Lets just hope the improvement they are talking about now hold up for this one. One could say their track record says expect some downgrades however not in the animation context this topic is talking about.
