We've seen it. It's an open world, RPG... first-person shooter.

WOW! having no interest to insta interest in game. Now I cant wait. this type of games are better with first person view.

now please CDPR. remove some shitty romance and focus on immersion, story telling and make it like immersive sim ala Deus Ex.

I would now consider it Deus Ex of this generation i had been hoping for.

I hope not some garbage game like skyrim or fallout.

witcher kids dont know how amazing original deus ex was and they are disappointed that it turn out to be first person and not some third person mass effect/witcher style.

this could be truely first great game by CDPR.

Day 1. After Witcher 3 CDPR is one of the few devs I will trust to buy anything from until they let me down.

We're currently going nuts over the new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer, and not just because it's our first look at one of the most anticipated games in years. Tucked in the end of the trailer is a secret, hidden letter from developer CD Projekt Red. The letter's a bit garbled, but that doesn't stop it from addressing a few critical questions fans might have about the game:

When? "When we told you we would only release the game when it's ready, we meant it... patience is still required."

How big? "Seriously big, but..., to be honest, we have no bloody clue."

Free DLC/Expansions/DRM Free? "Expect nothing less."

Microtransactions? "In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?"

Opposite. I was worried this game would have QTE combat from Witcher 3.

I never said Witcher 3 didn't have QTEs. I said the vast entirety of it's gameplay wasn't cutscenes, and scripted like movie games are (TLOU,etc.)

I was just making fun of the combat. It's that crappy automated batman junk.

Looks great the first person view not what I expected. Suits the game though.

I don't like the batman and witcher 3 style combat. It feels automated and like QTEs.

This is my opinion, and why I'm happy to hear this is a first person game. Less likely that "combat" will occur.

@zaryia: Eh, it was just bad. Even upgraded guns were janky. Pistols and low tech ftw. The gmdx mod did make it a lot better tho.

There's some female characters. No buy.

You will be able to see your character quite often.

I hope for lots for women, romance, and health regen.

No brothels, no buy.

Why do people care so much about perspective? Top down, isometric, over-shoulder 3rd person, side scrolling, first person (which =/= "FPS" - that's a genre, PC Gamer...), I don't care one bit. If it's a good game it's for me.

I have complete faith in CDPR. It'll be awesome.

@creepywelps: Dsus Ex combat was fine. It's one of the best RPGs ever made and it showed that a first person persoective can work in an RPG.

It looks like Deus Ex on steroids. It looks more Deus Ex than the recent Deus Ex lol Day 1 purchase of course

@xantufrog: I hate FPS with a passion, no buy from me. I'm ok with it being TPS though, if it is seriously good.

I loved the reveal. I liked the Blade Runner/GitS vibe it gave off. A nice mix between the two. You can really see the link back to that 80's Cyberpunk with the board-game and the aforementioned movies.

its not FPS. it is first person RPG.

It's quite funny how people on here dismiss the game immediately just because it went from 3rd person to 1st person...lmfao. Like THAT is the deal breaker...give me a break...lol. Especially the quality and time that is being put into this game from a solid team of developers.

They are their own publisher, the only way that it would ever be cancelled would be if CD PR went bust and ceased to exist.

Just like C.I.G. and Star Citizen, they can take as long as they want (and can afford) to make it.

So freaking hyped for this! And as long it’s a rpg first I could care less about perspective!

third person always suck. first person mean more immersive.
