Not really a level in itself but when you had to raise your lung capacity in gta sa to access a mission for woozie. It just wasn't fun if your lung capacity was 0 or close to 0 and you had to spend half an hour diving so you could raise it.

That part in U3 was actually needed imo. ND tried (and managed it pretty well) to give the player the sensation that he was lost in the desert. The part where you see an oasis and its only a mirage was disappoint almost just like it would be if you were actually there. And then... a village, on the horizon, a last hope...
great scene imo
and then straight into fighting soldiers like none of that happened
Yeah, that part was stupid but it doesnt take any merit to scene I just described. The player didnt knew what was going to happen.
Any mission or section or chapter in a specific video game that involves QTEs, I don't think I have EVER enjoyed QTEs in video games, ever.
Xenoblade's Mechonis section, I wanted out of there so badly, luckily I could fast travel back.
Nearly every Zelda games' beginning
Persona 3, every day that is not a full moon, vacation, or the last few months.
Kingdom Hearts: Deep Jungle
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories: every world that we already visited in KH1.
Yeah I was begging for the first section in Twilight Princess to end. Almost game ruining for me, I put the game down and didn't go back to it for ages.
I'm one of those people where you have about a half hour to grab my attention otherwise i'm gone. Developers need to watch that, because if they make it so the player has to grind at something at the beginning their game, someone like me will never go back to the series.
I got really bored at the begining of the first Assassins Creed game for example and haven't played it since, even though I heard it gets so much better through the series, And I think many games as well others.
The first thing I thought of was the awful nightmares Shephard had of that stupid kid in Mass Effect 3!
Well the first Mass Effect is not a great game, or even a good game.
Anywho, Ascension from Crysis is the one section that immediately comes to mind. That level should have just been taken out of the game completely, never to be utilized in any form. Absolutely pointless.
True Story
>Title says boring section in great game
>OP has boring section from not a great game
>bu metacritic
You're better than this Sean.
Fetch quest in Metroid Prime
True but meh, I just wanted to give out about that section and everyone keeps telling me that game is supposed to be great.
Want better ones?
Intro to The Witcher 2.... **** that shit every time
Demon Ruins in Dark Souls.
The Topic Title just made me think of All Bethesda Games.
Morrowind literally just asks you what class you want and then throws you into the bulk of the game. All of Bethesda's lesser games have drawn out introductions.
The Lady Comstock fights in Bioshock: Infinite. Their the only sections of the game where I felt bored, especially with a sniper rifle. Those are the only three sections of the game that I didn't like too much, but I didn't hate them either.
It was also really the hell out of nowhere. I thought I was in a speculative fiction thing with quantum mechanics stuff, and now I'm fighting a ghost that's throwing zombies at me.

Demon Ruins in Dark Souls.
Yes, and yes. **** the demon ruins, I don't think I've ever played a level that literally said "the devs rushed this part".
Killer Croc part, Arkham Asylum
Sniper part in The Last of Us
**** being a janitor in GTAV. I know you have an option to take another path in burning down the FIB target, but they seriously incorporated mopping mechanics and gameplay into the game? You walk so slow, can't kill yourself to speed things up, and literally stand there like a goof mopping brown spots for five minutes. Thankfully the rest of that mission is good.
THIS, jesus. I'm pretty sure Rockstar were just trolling us, literally making us mop shit off the floor and giving a gold medal if you mopped shit in the best way possible :P
(Also yoga!)
Oh god I sat there like an idiot during the Yoga section not knowing what to do, then severely bored when I realized what I had to do. And it went on forever and ever and ever. Can't hate that mission though, gave us anal probing and getting high as a kite.
The Legend of Zelda Windwaker...yes you know what part. Triforce Quest!!!
Also in Zelda TP, the last wolf part is a chore.
MGS4, Act 3 first part...God, so awful.
The beach level in Super Mario Galaxy...not a particular star, just the overall level was kind of boring.
The entire Mass Effect trilogy is filled with boring parts, thankfully the series is pretty epic.
