Poll: Beyond Two Souls PS4 version is Real (66 votes)

Heavy Rain is better game 74%
Beyond Two Souls is better game 26%

I found Two Souls very bad game. There is no gameplay or any real story at all. Having 1 character makes everything even more worthless.

WE DONT NEED THIS GAME ON PS4. GO AWAY

This is becoming a big fat effing joke Sony....how pathetic. And Heavy Rain was better.

Obviously there are more non PS3 owners who bought PS4 then I thought. It's not a bad thing to whoever wants it.

Dunno but it occurred to me that if Xbox is the dudebro system then PS is the movie game system and Nintendo is the kiddie system..... amright? :P

Watch it on Youtube in 1080p = remastered.

#8 Posted by WallofTruth (1574 posts) -

Obviously Heavy Rain is the better game, Beyond was such a big letdown for me that I even regretted the rental fee I paid for the 2 days I had the game.

Pretty glad this is coming out on PS4, the graphics will be out of this world, It's a very very niche genre and many people don't like it but for me missing out on it due to my PS3 dying on me, I'm actually glad it's coming out on PS4, but I truly did love Heavy Rain, either way there are many 360 owners who jumped over, remastering some of the last games to come out which was so close to the PS4 release is not a bad thing, it's another game, it isn't taking away from any game which would of been released.

Both games are QTE movie game trash. I'd rather Quantic Dream start making a game for once.

wow, ANOTHER remake?

i guess all the Playstation gaming greatness was last gen so they're offering it back up for this gen, in 1080p no less. at full price of course lol.

Or they should go make another Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, that game was dope for the most part.

While you have a point to a degree there's nothing about Beyond Two Souls that could be described as "gaming greatness" so not in this case. :P

Don't understand why you lot care so much, this or non of the remasters are effecting any other game, no one flutters there eye lids when games come out as game of the year editions and sold as new on the exact same console, if these games were taking up games what were meant to be coming i'd wouldn't mind these rants, but the fact remains, these aren't effecting any game development, there are no games coming until next year that goes for PS4/X1/WiiU, except the odd couple, all systems are on a drought, next year is busy, if you didn't like the game don't buy it, if you never played the game, then read reviews judge by yourself, it's a niche genre it isn't for everyone, but lets all put these remasters a rest there not hurting anyone for the most part there giving joy to the people who missed out on many of them first time around, as long as companies aren't using main game devs then i don't see a problem.

Obviously there are more non PS3 owners who bought PS4 then I thought. It's not a bad thing to whoever wants it.

When more than one PS3 game starts hitting the PS4 you should KNOW this is just Sony exploiting the No Backwards Compatibility aspect of the PS4.

What happened when PS3 lost it's PS2 backwards compatibility? OH HOW CONVENIENT, GOD OF WAR 1 & 2 AND THEY'RE IN HD!?? SOLD!

and thus began the trend. Now making old games available for a new generation isn't exactly "new" or "bad", but when it's games that came out LAST YEAR, It should tell you something.

Sony has hit a gold mine. They can sell you the same game you already own!

Why bother making new games when you can just re-release old ones.

Exactly. I'd rather see Sony spend more time developing more games than Re-Releasing the same stuff we bought last generation and Firing great Talent from their Studios.

I thought those people who bought a PS4 were looking for a PS4. Not a PS3.5.

Didn't sony say that they're stopping with this milking because it makes their new gen looks like a last gen console? Load of shit if you ask me

It isn't Sony doing this, it's the companies who made the game and I for one don't see a problem esp when most of them would of got game of the year editions anyway, plus it isn't holding any game back, there just using a small group of developers from inside there own companies to remake the game, it isn't effecting anything, it's actually a good thing, esp for me who's PS3 broke last september and haven't had a chance to play them, if you don't like it don't buy it, and people are buying it, no one is making them.

I was under the assumption Quantic Dream was a third party developer, Sony has nothing to do with it.

Edit: OK my bad Sony do actually own the Beyond Two Souls IP, but they don't own Heavy Rain.

Wikipedia points to SCE has publisher for both games. So i assume they control both. It was PS3 exclusive aswell after all

Honestly, if this turns out to be true, can't Sony atleast bundle the 2 game together for the price of 1? That's atleast not that bad.

Another game from last year "remastered" for 50 euros is bullshit. Atleast TLOU got a ton of hype and praise, in the least

#34 Posted by CTR360 (7034 posts) -

i like both games but i hope both not coming on PS4

As a PS4 owner, I have zero interest in that turd.

David Cage is horrible and needs to leave the video game industry.

Sony seeing dat cash in the "remake industry" (aka the gaming industry as a whole).

It's quite frightening to see that so many gamers are sheeple.

I guess when you are a hypocritical and biased lemming hiding behind PC you forget when forget the arguments you use to bash all things Sony don't work out in your favor or make sense.

There must have been something about it "great" about it in order for it to get a 9.0 rating here, but let me guess in this case GS opinion is not valid for some reason right?

Amazing how that, "I never bash Sony or sony games just sony fanboys" line you always use is exposed as a lie and shows how you turn into a rabid fanboy against anything Sony related like the foaming at the mouth troll you always prove yourself to be. Congrats.

Beyond: Two Souls is a really nice looking game, it would fit well on the PS4.

However...the game itself isn't really worth playing. I personally would rather see Heavy Rain. The story in Beyond: Two Souls is the dumbest shit in the world.

ffs if theyre going to keep doing this then they better do mgs3 and shadow of the colossus again, with a new engine

Wasn't that review done by Tom McShea, whose opinion I'm sure you find uncredible, especially after his review of TLOU?

#48 Posted by DocSanchez (1590 posts) -

Beyond Two Souls was awful. Just improbably bad. I did enjoy Heavy Rain because in spite of the hoops you had to go through just to pick up a cup they managed to make this quite chilling in stages where you were trying your best to rescue your son.

I could not get in to any of B2S because it didn't have anything in the way of a compelling plot, no such suspense and to top it all, I think it felt smug. Like they thought they were creating the Godfather of games or something. Its a shame because I'd enjoyed several of the previous games from the company going way back to the original excellent Nomad Soul.

When Sony said 30 AAA exclusives in 2014, i think they meant to include ports as well, so i guess it wasn't a complete lie

I'm just going by who filed the trademark, Heavy Rain was filed by Quantic Dream, Beyond Two Souls was filed by Sony.
