Best Light-Ning Effects?

What's the game with the best lightning Effects? Notice Light-Ning, NOT Lighting.

-I'd say Killzone 2 for this Generation.

-For last generation, I'd say Resident Evil 4, it had a bad azz lightning effect that makes the game look like it's running on a next gen system. The lightning actually cast shadows like next gen lighting, and it could not be replicated on the PS2 version

Um before I can judge which game has the best lightning, I think I need a list of games that have lightning.

Stalker and Stalker Clear Sky.

No other game comes even close to how well they do lightning, and if you say otherwise you clearly haven't played either of them.

The way the shadows just dance around with each flash is just so creepy and atmospheric is unbeliveable.

It adds and changes alot too the gameplay too, getting into a fire fight in the middle of a lightning storm at night is just amazing, it becomes a tactical thing, waiting for the flashes to see where the enemies are and using the thunder to cover up the gunfire. It not scripted either, clouds form and cause storms completely randomly its not just something made for one level.

Also if your running in DX10 it makes everything wet with realistic flowing water on surfaces.

Never mind best or worst lightning, how about we get a few games that just simply get it right?

Halo 3 on consoles since it is one of the few games to implement HDR, while Killzone's lighting was good it didn't even implement HDR lighting.

Easily the Stalker series. The entire atmosphere in those games are perfect.

Lightning, not lighting. My vote is split between Infamous and Killzone 2.

Uncharted 2, the waterway in Shambhala. The lighting flashes off the water drops trickling down the walls, the splashes on the stones and best of all reflects off of the bottom of the waterway refracting through the volumetric water.

I had to stop and stare at the lightning in Killzone 2 a few times, especially around the arc tower.

Can't really think of any other games that got my attention with their lightning at the moment.

halo doesnt have any good lightning. i dont think it even has any lightning toast_burner

How many this-gen games have you played? KZ2's graphics are still good but even some reviewers have noted that KZ2's flamethrower is weak (small gripe).
