Battlefield: Hardline should run at 1080p/60 fps on Xbox One

Visceral Games are working on the next entry in the Battlefield franchise which will be titled Hardline. Although different in theme than the main Battlefield series, it will still remain true to the roots that the the franchise is known. GamingBolt was able to get in touch with Ian Milham who is the Creative Director on Battlefield: Hardline at Visceral Games.

Battlefield Hardline is already confirmed to be running at 1080p and 60fps on the PlayStation 4, so where does that leave the Xbox One version? Ian confirmed to us, that ‘it should be the same.’

“If you look at the games that Visceral Games has made before, we have always strive for total parity between our platforms,” Ian explained. “Of course, the PC version, it will do whatever your PC can handle, and the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will obviously not be as high res as compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version. But those two [PS4 and Xbox One] should be locked in together.”

That June SDK update is killing it, provided then can hit it.

Lol, well if it helps you sleep at night that your precious PS4 remains the most powerful console, here's a hug and a nod that is still the case:) As for Xbox One fans its good news dev kits are improving and we're seeing evidence of that. Of course Sony's will get better too. In every gen consoles always produce better looking, large games as devs become more familiar with the architecture and how to get the best out of it. 1080p still don't mean a crap to me, but its news so here we go :)

I edited the topic title to reflect the should as its no confirmation, but the dev is working for it. And yeah, EA neeeds to confirm, which I honestly get the feeling after Wolfenstien, Forza Horizon 2, and Destiny that Battlefield will join them at 1080p. Now 60fps, that I wouldn't be shocked to see get dropped to 30. But we will see.

It's nto really surprising honestly. Hardline is using Frostbite 3, and it looks exactly like BF4, which was running at 60fps on consoles, and sub-1080p. I guess they got better with them, and managed there. If the xbox isn't 1080p, it'll probably be 900p, and be 1080 in the next BF is that used FB3 again.

Yeah I played the beta for an hour last night.

It feels like it should be an add on for BF4 or a budget game.

I can run the beta in 4k maxed out (sans MSAA) with ~45fps

Just so you guys know. People at gaf have been saying that this game might not be 1080p on the ps4.

I doubt either version will be 1080p at 60fps but who knows.

More than likely though they will hit 1080p. Especially since Bungie has for Destiny and Forza Horizon 2. I'm hopeful but we don't have confirmation yet. The best thing for me is I want this game cause it looks great to play.

Why is it so hard to accept MS made weaker hardware? It's also worth noting that Sony has not done it's ICE tools update. X1 will always be behind....

You never saw PS2/Gamecube fans try to make a case against Xbox, never saw Genesis fans desperately trying to make a case against SNES, same for PS1 fans against N64.
