The PS4, Xbox 720, and Nintendo Buu are announced.

Will you buy one of them?

Personally, since most console games are Multiplat anymore, I think I'll stick with a PC next generation and let consoles do their own thing.

Yes I'm definitely buying the Nintendo Console (I can't go a whole gen without Nintendo titles I almost did it last gen but I got a GCN and it was my favorite console of all time.)

The other 2 it all depends on the games that are for it because on those consoles I like 3rd party more then 1st Party, Well for Sony I like 1st Party aswell and for Microsoft I barely played 1st Party titles.

Yes. It will be between ps4 and X720, the one with better graphics+best exclusives is the one i am buying. If ps4/xbox720 is taking the same road as Wii did then i am not buying a next gen console at all.

Yup, I would buy Sony console (I would be in University, so I would only be able to afford one if I was lucky)

Yes, I as always will pick up the new Nintendo handheld and PlayStation system early, then decide on the others later.

Yes... eventually.

Will I be paying $400+ day one, rofl, hell no. I've never been that stupid nor wished to throw my money down the trash can that badly. Will I buy them at $300... probably not. I'll buy ONE of them once it reaches $250 or less. After that the other are gonna have to hit like $150 before i'll own two current gen systems. I love games but not enough to throw my money in a bonfire. The idea of spending $500+ (the price of buying 2 consoles before they get cheap) on gaming and not getting any actual games seems like an epic fail in my book.

Fair warning. Everyone who buys a new console day one should put up some extra cash for warranty. That is what I will do if I get a console day one.(never have but you never know)

Ya definitely! I might not buy the console at launch because of bad experiences with the 360. Of course I'll be 18 then and I'll be building my own PC and getting into more PC gaming as well as buying games for my PS4. :)

Eventually, gonna wait till there is at least 3 games I want for each system before picking one up, and hopefully by that time there would have been a price drop.

How do you know when the next consoles are coming out? I hope the next consoles come out at the end of 2011 or sometime during 2012.

Buu? Wasn't that a character from Dragon Ball Z/GT?

I might buy a new Nintendo console (how else am I gonna play SSB4?), although I'm not one to buy everything there is out there. I was quite content with my Gamecube years after the Wii's launch; I don't think I'll be quick to buy a Buu.

And where is it written that you HAVE to quit at 25? You DO realize that the statistical average age of a gamer is 30 years old, don't you? There are plenty of games for older players. As a field it has evolved to expand its content to all demographics. And I'm 37 and still actively play.

Why impose limitations on yourself? :)

No. The only way I will reconsider is if 3rd party exclusives are back and if the state on some genres are a lot better than they are currently.. Besides I don't really have much time to play video games now compared to when I was a teenager due to work and college..I really don't think that's going to change after I'm done with college.

I doubt it. I got BC in my Elite and PS3 so I still have massive last gen titles to play, as well as waiting on games from this gen. Recently got a PC, nothing too pqwerful but capable, and a Wii. So I have tons of Nintendo games that I never played as well. I think I'm set for a while.

Ouch. I never considered that. I didn't grow up with such controlling parents. And I'd like to advise you that at 25 (even at 19 for that matter) you could discuss with them that you're old enough to make your own choices about what you do for leisure activities (or most other things in your life). But it really isn't my place to get involved. At the very least when you move out on your own, you can pick up the hobby again with no one telling you what to do.

na consoles just don't last as long anymore my PlayStation was 6 years old but 2&3 plus both xbox consoles lasted about a year and half at most (im a hardcore gamer lol)
