What happened to those "awesome" games that the Xbone was supposed to have.

See, the funny thing is that Microsoft blew their exclusive lineup for half of this gen already, and all of them are big flops. What a disaster.

It's pretty much tied with Killzone SF on MC. I would not be surprised if it got above a 75% on MC at the end of the year. I heard a lot of good things about this game.

They are right there - far superior to the craptastic PS4 launch titles.

What was the official hype for this game? Where is the thread? You can't flop a game that didn't have an official hype thread idiot. KZ had one, cows underrated it and it still flopped. Let's not even talk about Knack.

Killer Instinct looks great in my opinion. It's one of those love or hate kind of games.

Seems that often times games today get rated off graphics alone... gameplay looks AMAZING... however, I know looks can be deceiving... They didn't screw up the combo system that bad did they?

The mere fact that only 6 of the 16 confirmed characters are available at launch, plus the fact that story mode isn't coming till March, really attest to just how polished, balanced and FUN the actual gameplay is when seeing the score come in.

Remember, it's only $20 for the first 8 characters with all gameplay options.

Also, it's meeting the hype. Looks like it'll be an 8.0 here on GS.

If you want a fighter that was designed from the ground up for nextGen consoles, this is your only option for the foreseeable future.

I don't think another fighting game (that isn't a current gen port) has even been announced yet. This may be the only meaningful fighter for the next year or more. You guys remember how long the wait was between DoA4 and SF4??? (I intentionally skipped VF because it was missing a lot of features). That was like a 2 year wait after launch.

The funniest thing about this thread is that Killer Instinct is at a 74 mostly because it is a 6 character fighting game with a lack of single-player content. Killzone: SF is at a 74 because though it has flashy graphics, and just generally "more" than what a game like KI can offer, it still doesn't have what counts; actual good Gameplay.

If Killzer Instinct tied KZSF for 74/100 average on MetaCritic, and yet cows are saying that Killer Instinct is a flop, are they therefore admitting that their premiere launch exclusive is an utter failure?

That's about two full points higher than I expected considering who developed it.

Doesnt look like the critics think any better of XB1 exclusives than PS4. Killer Instinct and Dead Rising are getting 7's and 8's like KZ did. Lococycle and Crimson Dragon are getting 5's and 6's like Knack. I guess its up to Forza to try to break the deadlock. Looks to me like its another classic MS quantity, not quality lineup.

Not surprised as the gameplay looked like shit.

The funny thing is all of the complaints goes toward the character roster being too small. That will get fixed over time. The fact it is in the mid 70's with only 6 fighters and no single player modes shows how good the game actually is.
There probably isn't another fighter on the planet that could of gotten a better score with so little content. And the fact Microsoft has already confirmed season 2 for a total of 16 fighters and more modes? Yeah....I think we have a winner here.

Sorry, but in System Wars Generation 8 there is no more distinction between Retail and Download.

KI is sitting at the same score as Killzone, only its not even a full version which won't be ready until Jan/Feb. Klllzone in its complete form managed a 74. KI managed a 74 with six characters, and no arcade/story mode. Think about that for a second. And it costs $20.
