Quit making sub-par CPUs that can be mistaken for space heaters. Then AMD can talk.
I am by no means wanting Intel to have a monopoly, but AMD is just lazy and tooting their horn of bullshit. AMD has always been 2nd rate to Intel.

Well..Intel has made huge progress with integrated GPUs, but they obviously still have ways to go. It's irrelevant though. On both laptops and desktops Intel + Nvidia combo will likely beat AMD parts.

What, why? It's the official statement given by the Manager of Gaming Engineering at AMD.
I think this could only be an issue if a huge leap between both architectures is present.
Because it won't happen on powerful Intel cpus.People still game on IGPs?faizan_faizan
I've seen plenty of laptop owners (in campus) try to during lunchtime and breaks. Some games seem to run okay. Not my cup of tea though.
Nvidia Done.
Enjoy your $1000+ Titan card that has less GDDR5 than PS4.

Bravo for not understanding why...

 Yeah, too bad that Titan with its 6Gb of GDDR5 doesn't perform any bit better than a 780 and its 3Gb of VRAM. You would think people on this forum would get by now that VRAM is not the be all end all that determines a GPU's capabilities.Â

It's becoming more and more viable. Plenty of games have low hardware requirements and haswell is powerful enough to run the rest of them on lowered settingsEven PC hardware makers are only expecting console ports instead of exclusives.

Cut them some slack they just found out about GDDR and VRAM

Pretty sure the Titan will perform better at bigger resolutions.[QUOTE="mitu123"]

Btw, AMD plans to sell Kaveri APU in Q4 2013.Well..Intel has made huge progress with integrated GPUs, but they obviously still have ways to go. It's irrelevant though. On both laptops and desktops Intel + Nvidia combo will likely beat AMD parts.

On both laptops and desktops, Intel + AMD combo is competitive to Intel + NVIDIA combo parts.
In the past, NVIDIA has offered X86 CPU http://www.nvidia.com/page/uli_m6117c.html NVIDIA is reduced to copy-and-paste CPU designs from ARM.
If they are really unoptimized yeah, wouldn't be surprised seeing i5/i7's getting bottlenecked because devs are lazy
This maybe good though, it may force Intel to step up their game & get some cheap 6-8 core CPU's out in the market instead of milking the quad core i series dry
The only thing this coming up generation we have to worry about is control schemes. There will be no straight up bad ports anymore since they are using pc hardware based on x86 and current API's and AMD based gpu's. No need for intel to step up to 6-8 core standard yet, since their cpu's perform much better clock per clock then AMD's. An desktop intel i5(quad core) is multiple times faster then the 8 core jag's from consoles. Heck even AMD's 4 year old 3 ghz+ Phenom 2 X4's can out process these upcoming console cpu's. Not to mention that its rumored that the X1's 8 core will only have 6 cores usable for game use.If they are really unoptimized yeah, wouldn't be surprised seeing i5/i7's getting bottlenecked because devs are lazy This maybe good though, it may force Intel to step up their game & get some cheap 6-8 core CPU's out in the market instead of milking the quad core i series dry

First game that came to mind is Skyrim...
Horrible CPU optimisation of the engine, so with so few cores being used, why not put the shadow on there to save some GPU power on those damn console...
When a 4 GHz I5/7 is falling below 60FPS because of one core at 100% while the other 3 are almost idle, you know the devs screwed up.
Well now next-gens have 8 cores, but shitty cores, so they can't do something similar anymore.Â

Where do you read that ?
Its pretty muc the norm, has been for the last 10 years.
PC games don't sell, Console games do.

Look at all these poor sales http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_PC_gamesEven if Intel sponsors the game?
I like how they target the iGP factor when really only super budget gamers would be bothered buy this

I think you're taking this personally as if he's making a statement against PC gaming. He's specifically talking about the new Intel IGP that is designed for gaming.
