No. Crysis 2 while it looks good still doesnt have the graphical power or nature of Uncharted 2 or KZ3. The resolution and faded blacks in Crysis 2 are proof of this.

Well since Crysis 2 surpassed all what the PS3 currently has to offer the answer is, yes.

The ports would not look identical though, reduce some features, improve some features and you would get a version that looks about the same.

Both consoles are very comparable. And I don't think we've ever seen two rivaling machines this close in performance.

Of course it's possible. The PS3 and 360 are almost equal in terms of power, so their shouldn't be any games that wouldn't run on each console.

Both consoles are equal as far as what's possible.

CBCstillmatic I very much respect your opinion, and I thank you for your input, you and I have different opinions and while I disagree with you, I like the fact that your opinion is hopefully coming from a non-biased point of view as you have played both. The funny thing is though is that a lot of people have been saying the same thing about the ps3 for a while ,the developers aren't taking advantage of the ps3's power, and the reason is that MOST (not all) multiplatform games are developed for the 360 and then ported to the ps3 because the 360 is the easier platform to develop for. There is a reason why I still have my 360 and haven't sold it and the reason is a fair bit of MULTIPLATFORM games do look better on the 360, although the gap has gotten much closer over the years, but if were talking about the best graphics a console has to offer than the ps3 owns that list by far my friend and you really can't deny that at all.

It's not possible. Uncharted and Killzone are made from engines specifically designed for the ps3. Mgs4 never came out on 360 because it was purely optimised for ps3. So.. no.

Well, letting the games speak for themselves, it looks like the 360 could indeed run Uncharted 2 and Killzone 3.

any game the ps3 can do the 360 can do. blue ray isnt needed on either system and doesnt help the ps3 as a game system at all... will never fall for the hypeor over pay just because sony wants to push a new disc format again...

no not that lol. motorstorm 1 used up way over half of a blu ray disc. thats about 3 dvds. motorstorm was a very barebones racer... discs have nothing to do what games the systems can run... just look at the multi plats that need to be installed on ps3 even with BLU RAY and still not run or look as good as the 360 version. they are both really close but i say the 360 is the better game system...

The real question now, could the ps3 run crysis 2 the way the 360 runs it? Ouch Anyway, if I had to have only one of those 3 games (I do have the 3 of them), it would be U2, in my top 5 best game this gen, i know off topic :(

No because Sony owns them...duh They are coded for the cell and a port would have to be done very very well for it to be of equal quality. But no otherwise we would see games like Halo and Gears match them.

The PS3 was a Trojan horse.

It costed twice as much as a console with the same prestanda released one year earlier.

In short the PS3 was a $300 gaming machine sold for $600 to spread a new disc format that wasn't even necessary.

But I shouldn't complain. Thanks to the Sony fans, we can now all watch movies in HD.
