What does Gamespot think of Tim Tebow? Do you think he will be the starting QB for the Jets before November?

He is a back up QB. But, he also will have other duties for the team. I personally don't mind him, he's a good football player. I think he'll get the starting job at some point this season. The crowd will demand it like they did in Den. They'll soon see what they got, no better than Sanchez.

-

He's a polarizing figure. He might even be more if he learns to throw like the best.

You want news about Tebow here you go and keep it in this thread. He gives the Jets offense more options.

I highly appreciate Tebow as a person. He's a brilliant role model, even from someone who's not of a religion. When we talk about football PLAYERS, though, the attention paid to him is ludicrous.

things like this make him polarizing. I have yet to speak to a single person who dislikes Tebow as a person. What I found people dislike is the massive amount of undeserved attention he gets from the likes of ESPN and the NFL Network. He is a backup QB that gets more attention than Franchise altering ones (Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Mannings). We are literally drowned by coverage of him by shows like First Take, having 3 or 4 segments where we hear the same arguments as we have the previous day. Tebowmanics make pointing out the flaws in his game seem like hating...

while he's not very good, i wish there were more people like him just because so many pro athletes get the thug mentality or are divas. he's actually a good influence for kids, which is extremely rare these days.

I think he's brilliant! Turnovers are how games are won and lost, right? Well, what better way to prevent turnovers than to have a quarterback who throws every pass into the ground?

Tim Tebow seems to have built great chemistry with a receiver in training camp. I think this will be a huge year for those two.

I really miss 1st and 10's old days when Tebow didn't take up daily amounts of time on that show. I think they were fighting over Tebow's Christ like GQ image today. Talking about pressing sports news.

I still stand by my evaluation of Tim Tebow. Not a pure passer by any stretch, but is a playmaker who can make things happen with his legs. He could be a successful quarterback in the league IF the show is turned over to him. He will fail if someone tries to structure a regular offense around his arm. Turn him loose, let him play his game, and I think he good have good success.

The Jets have so many Problems. They needed to do more this off season than just trade for Tim Tebow. That Giants game was such an eyeopener.

Was watching First Take today, almost threw up when Skip pinned all Tebow's troubles on Rex Ryan. At least he admitted Tebow can't pass for crap. Honestly, if he ever believed the crap he said about Tebow he doesn't anymore, it's nothing more than a gimmick.

We need to start calling him Tim TD-oh.

It was interesting to see him win games last year (since I don't think he's that good), but I do get tired of hearing about him.

For one week against a team that probably isn't that good. Mark Sanchez always shows flashes of brilliance every year but then he goes back to the same old Mark Sanchez.

I hope Sanchez starts completely bombing soon and they start Tebow.

If Tebow started I would actually watch Jets games.

I know this topic is about Tim Tebow but losing Darrelle Revis to a torn ACL has me worried. The team had problems with the offense already.

As a jets fan, I have had enough of Sanchize. That first game it finally looked like he had turned the corner, but I was wrong. The guy is just a prima donna. He can't handle any pressure and it seems like he enjoys being a celebrity more than getting better. I'm done with him, which sucks because he was one of my favorite players both in college and his first two years. But enough is enough, and I want to see Tebow play now considering what he did with the broncos last year. I'm praying that the jets either start tebow, or lose the rest of their games. :/ Since Revis is gone, there is no way they do anything this year. It's such a shame.

Not another one. They are dropping like flies. This is not the Jets year. At this rate, the Jets will get the number two draft pick for sure.

Some people are blaming Mark Sanchez. He has been getting death threats via Twitter.
