Gf got me this as a birthday gift. I'll leave just the back so your imagine can run wild. Yes it's factory sealed, and extremely hard to find. One mario away from having every core Mario game factory sealed.

OMFG!!! That box is the very same box that my parents got me my first ever gaming console in the early 90's, it came with SNES+Super Mario World, it was the greatest birthday gift my parents got me but man, I wish they save that box, I could've made a fortune if I was smart enough to find out if it can be worth something. Nice find N64DD

My gf found it for me. She really worked it..i'm lucky!

@n64dd: That's an awesome find, I just finished playing some SMW.

I drove a few hours over the weekend to pick up another CRT TV. It's a Sony PVM 20M2MDU, basically a 20" RGB TV with decent resolution (600 TV Lines). I already have a PVM 14n6u which is a 500 TV line 14" TV, but picked up the 20" one for obvious reasons. The 20M2MDU is really well calibrated and so far I've only found one minor issue with convergence (alignment of electron beams) but I think I'll leave that alone.

I also picked up a Model 1 Sega Saturn locally, pretty good condition. It supports RGB/scart with no mods which is pretty awesome. Eventually I'm going to install an SD card interface and ditch the optical drive.

Now I'm kinda left wondering what to do with my 26" flat-glass trinitron. The thing is awful with smooth scrolling 2D games but does ok with 3D games, plus it needs a serious tune up.

Have you looked into the HDMI mods?

@n64dd: For what console?

I installed the Hi Def NES mod in my toaster NES, installed "GCVideo" in my gamecube, and had UltraHDMI installed in my N64 by badass consoles. I think the HDMI mods are outstanding and worth every penny. Below is the HDMI mod for n64 on a 1080p Sony 50" TV (very average).

I'm also trying to make an HDMI+RGB mod for the GBA. FPGA circuit board is 99% done just need to finish the firmware along with case design.

I got:

SSX On Tour (GameCube) - It has Mario, Luigi, and Peach as guest stars.

Wave Race: Blue Storm (GameCube) - I've heard this was nowhere near as good as the 64 game, but still fun. Can't be worse than the true first Wave Race on GB though.

December (not counting Christmas gifts) was the month of GameCube for me.

Splinter Cell - Chaos Theory (not the best version compared to XBOX and PC, I know)

James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing (double-dip; own the PS2 version as well)

Medal of Honor: Rising Sun

Gauntlet: Dark Legacy (triple dive; have the N64 version of Legends and PS2 version of Dark Legacy) - A complete set for the GC version goes for about $50 ($40 if it's just the disc) minimum. I got it for half that.

@nintendoboy16: funny you posted a WiiU title, but of course, now that it's dead we can think of it as a "retro".

I'll have to take a pic of my recent pickups, had a good weekend for the first time in a while.

Grabbed about 12 games total with the highlights being Wild Arms Altar Code F, Tales of Vesperia and Magna Carta 2.

Took a pic of most of the games, got to work and realized I forgot to put the 2 360 rpg's in the shot. :(

Went to the Midwest Gaming Convention in Milwaukee this past weekend and got a few more Xbox games towards the collection plus a few other items. I've also got 3 more Xbox games on the way via Ebay, once those arrive I only have 28 left to complete the set.

I also bought an Amstrad GX4000 CIB for $150 that is not pictured here, didn't make it 10 steps from the booth and already had an offer to buy it for more than I paid for it. I also found it kind of funny how after buying the item I kept noticing all kinds of heads turning to see what the heck I was carrying. Guessing not many have seen a GX4000 before. Still need to buy a power converter and tv out so I can use the machine. Maybe have another game night in the future, though I doubt it.

Ended the month with a pretty big haul over the last week+half. Combination of getting a raise at work plus being close to finishing the Xbox collection meant it was time to try and get it done. As of this moment, I am 8 games from completing the OG Xbox collection, all but two are on order. Now I can finally start to focus on the other games I SHOULD own rather than buying crap sports titles I need to finish the collection. I've also started buying boxes and manuals for NES & PC games I want to complete. None of these are in my most recent collection update I posted 2 weeks ago.

So... here's the latest additions bringing total games over 3900.

Had a birthday recently so I've got yet another big haul. The big items include a copy of LoZ: Majora's Mask, Toe Jam & Earl on Gensis, Virtua Fighter 2 on Saturn, Persona 3 Portable on PSP, Viewtiful Joe on Cube, and Jurassic Park Op Genesis on Xbox. In addition there are a couple rare game consoles, starting with Super Pong from Sears on the left, with a Coleco ADAM computer with built in ColecoVision and a bunch of boxed accessories plus 2 keyboards and 2 controllers, and way back in the back right corner you'll notice a rare Euro system, the Amstrad GX4000.

This brings me up to roughly 3950 games and over 80 unique consoles/handhelds.

Not included in this pic, I also got another Laserdisc player, a handful of LDs, a bunch of NetRunner CCG cards, and several boxes of sealed Galactic Empires CCG cards. Most likely future pick ups will not be as large, don't know of any gaming conventions coming up and the Xbox collection is almost complete. Just need one more game and it's done.

A bit of a Middle Eastern thing going on with my recent pick ups.

Already have the GC version of Sands of Time, but the XBOX version was $2 at the thrift store, so what the hell. Shantae was a case of luck at Gamestop.
