Voting on the most overrated game ever!

i had a post, couple days ago when i asked what is the most overrated game ever?.. one day when by, and got 170+ people replied saying what they, think is the most overrated game ever, here is most of them.

You put Halo as an option on a ps3 forum. What do expect the outcome will be? I think LBP should be on that list.

GTA 4 , it got a perfect 10 and the game is rather boring story wise , annoying in some ways - phone calls , worse than the previous games in terms of fun , oveerall id give it a 7-8/10 max for the nice graphics

Boils down to pure personal opinion. And putting games like Halo in a PS3 board is not allowed. You should change the list to PS3 exclusives and multiplats if you want to avoid trouble.

In my opinion Call of Duty modern Warfare 2 is VERY overrated.

Metal Gear Solid 4 definitely is overrated, and I'll also mention Little Big Planettoo

Halo isn't overrated, Halo 2 and 3, now they are WAAY overrated. Halo 1 was great. But since this is a PS3 forum, I'd say Demon's Souls was over-rated (puts up flame shield) :)

None of these really apply to an overrated list in my mind. I mean, they were all successful for a reason, even I didn't like GTA4, many did.

Uncharted 2 is good but its not TEH BESTEST GAME EVA!!!! I would say its overrated

I would've voted MGS4, but Halo is definitely the highest one on the list, even if it isn't a PS3 game.

I agree i wish that someone would have said FF13, but thats because i hate genre of the game, and the turn-based combat system.

it's like: ``My Turn to hit, please stand still so i can maybe get a critical hit, Okei im done, your turn´´

But for seriouslies, FF is another example of being successful for a reason. Same deal with all of those games on the list with the exception of MW2, seeing as a lot of COD fans turned against it for BFBC2. But let's not open that that door again...

Modern Warfare 2, no doubt. Halo at least has a plausible story. The rest IMO deserve all the recognition they got, except I dont believe that GTAIV deserved all those 10s, more of a 9.5 game for me. But thats just my opinion.

I think at this point in time that MW2 takes the cake for most overrated. Halo is a damn close second.

That's purely based on personal perception. I personally greatly enjoyed FFXIII, as did a lot of other people. Sure, some people **** about it, but they **** about XII, X, IX, and VIII. Yet the series still continued with an ever-growing fanbase. Hence I can't really take the arguments against FFXIII seriously, as they were just the next batch of complaints regarding the newest FF release.

I agree about the Halo comment. In fact I actually liked Halo 2 more than the first one. Personally, if I had to choose from this list, MGS4 is pretty overrated.

modern warefare 2 its just a giant add-on content for COD, even though it has its differences.lets hope black ops is totaly different game

MW2 is very overrated, but i still play it a lot.......

MW2 - First choice

GTA4 - Second choice

None...All of them are great games and I have never played HALO...

People "turned against" MW2 because it's fashionable to do so... but in reality the people puting it down all bought the map pack even thoughit's not cool to support the Fascist regime of Activision. I'm so over the MW2 bashing, if you play it you play it. Stop lying about it and be a man (or woman) for a change. You can't bash it then sit down and play it for hours... Uncharted 2. Nothing really special about it, it was a great game, but everybody hails it as a "masterpiece," "the greatest game ever," etc. I still enjoyed it a lot though.

Modern Warefare 2 = The most overrated game ever in videogame history, period.

GTA4 lacked fun and shouldn't have got 10/10
