the date on mine was rest to 1999 as well but i just manually changed it about 20 mins ago

This could be the darkest hour of Gamming... The PS3 was just starting to become the powerhouse it should have been (finally better looking games then 360, a stock of exclusive titles almost no hardware issues) now this:A faulty internal clock?! Cmon Sony the internal clock in my old IBM 8086 from the 1980's still works.... Well see how sony stock looks in the morning: chances are its going to go up. If the hardware issue cannot be fixed then we'll be forced to buy new PS3's and because of the fantastic hardware in thePHAT ps3 alot of them are still in use...Come on, Im a supposed to believe that with all mind power working for Sony no one know that all the PS3 phat models would crash today?

I manually reset mine as well, but I still cannot play any games with trophies.

The Date on my PS3 is now 1/1/2000

I can still play the demos and no trophies or save files got corrupted, only two themes got corrupted and i can't play full games.

No it wouldnt nothing is wrong with PSN its your ps3 thats broken.... it was broke when you bought it. somhow sony missed that that every PHAT ps3 was broken and the clocks would all fail today..

awesome. ill be keeping my fingers crossed that this will only be a one day thing. still one day will suck eggs, but i guess its better than 2days.

stupid question: how is it the leap year bug? and why is it only affecting us this year, its not leap year! and if this was true then wouldnt this have happened at the same time last year then?
