i think prototype looks way better but that is just me i think infamous will be another dull game like GTA4? THIS IS MY OPINION noone plz start an argument from it thx but yea Prototype and i wont be getting infamous just gona rent and see what i think

Prototype looks like it would get old in an 'Assassin's Creed' kind of way. Repetitive missions and paths but still looks really good doing it. Even still, I think inFamous looks better.
I'm still undecided wether to get one or both. Good thing that Infamous Demo will come out this thursday, that will determine if I'll buy Infamous or not, same goes for Prototype, so hopefully we get a demo of it as well.
How do you people keep saying one or the other is "waaay" better when NOBODY in here has played either of them apart from the InFamous demo?? If i looks better or appears to have a better story or gameplay say so. But you can't just say one or the other IS better. You have no clue! ................. Anyway, the dude from Prototype looks like a poster boy for Old Navy. Whats with the hoody and letterman jacket over the white button up and blue jeans? WTF kind of hero is that?
Got a point. Aside from the demo nothing but video footage has been released for either. Personal opinion it would have to be prototype, even with inFamous demo. The feel of it looks better, and also with different powers it would feel less repetitive then the same powers that were in the demo. And would not shell out to reserve it just to get an electric blade.
Personally, I think they are both pretty awesome... The gameplay looks a LITTLE better in inFAMOUS, i COULD be wrong, just that it has better graphics and better story to it, i dont know much about prototype but I would go for inFAMOUS, but dont get me wrong prototype looks cool too.
My vote is for inFAMOUS, they both look good but I feel like Prototype would be one of those games that is satisfying for a little while and then gets boring; the video footage of it seems to me to be lacking a certain something. Also, the inFAMOUS demo was awesome.

In prototype your a guy with superpowerz, theres a virus spreading and as time goes by in the game the virus gets worse, and whole streets are full of zombie like people, in imfamous its just a gang with guns... you shock em... they die... you cant run up walls (although you can climb) in imfamus, you cant turn into anyone you want in imfamus.. and if they have a fight alex would win since he could change into imfamus guy's sister and then kill him when he dont expect it
This is a right hard decision. At first i thought Prototype would suck and I'd get bored really easy, but after playing it was awesome, there's a crap load of combos, and the powers are more diversified and its really fast paced (running up walls and streets practically flying). But then again I haven't played InFamous which i think the graphics are a little better, more story, karma choices, and probably lots of powers (wouldn't know i haven't played the actual game yet just the demo lol). So yeah I'm really torn about which game i should get XD. I'll probably just get my friend to buy one game and me buy the other then just trade when we're done lol.
lol he doesn't have a sister that's his girlfriend and shes already dead lol. I'm not really sure who would win in a fight though, Cole could just zap or call down lightning, but then again Alex has got a shield, and giant spike things so i don't know it'd be a tough fight.

Anytime a battle starts in the streets a soldier will radio for an air strike. Unless you can kill him before he gets the message out prepare to be annoyed. Its not that bad at first, but eventually you get tired of having to fight off freakin' helicopters ALL THE TIME when you have soldiers, hunters, tanks, and other flies to swat. I'm sure most people overlook it or enjoy it, but it annoyed me. If that sounds annoying to you then you will be annoyed, too. Just a heads up....
I have to say Prototype, the moves are alot more varied and the gameplay may be Spiderman 2 without spiderman but his movement still is fun to play around with, also its alot more of a challenge and there's so much more to do.
I think prototype kind of has more of an overpowered feeling to it where you can just run through everything and not even have a scratch. On the other hand i think inFamous could be more challenging and possibly keep you interested for a longer amount of time with the whole "good or bad" thing to it.

iv got the demo for infamous and the full game of prototype and i think prototype is better, I think its better because you seem to have more fun on it yeah infamous is good with the ability to shock people to death but I think ripping someone in half is much better.
After beating Prototype, I probably would have never gotten inFAMOUS, but since I got it free after the PSN hack, I'd suggest inFAMOUS. The graphics aren't all that great and the controls can be a bit choppy at times, but that doesn't get in the way of enjoying the game. Personally I think it was a lot better because your choices affect the outcome of the story and it has multiple endings(from what I've heard). I haven't finished it yet, but so far it's kind of got me hooked.
In my opinion, inFAMOUS has a better story, better graphics, better characters, better side quests, etc. whereas Prototype has better combat and gameplay is more fun messing around. Overall though, inFAMOUS gets my vote.
