It's the same thing that happened with HDTVs. Many were reluctant at first, but once the prices dropped... lots of people upraded. 3DTVs run around $1,500.00 and up. Some are around 5K. Crazy! The manufacturers will see that they're not selling well and the prices will drop. Then, I'll upgrade.

I will buy a new TV in February when I get my tax return. And yes, it will be a 3D plasma. Can't wait... I wish I could get it now, but I don't want to charge it, there isn't much content, the PS3 doesn't play Blu Rays in 3D yet, and the price will come down.

I wouldnt mind turning to 3-D asap, but in the next 1-2 years 3d tv's will be cheaper and they ll surely have gotten much better at making the games so it would be well worth waiting

Not on the PS3, not paying 2000 dollars for a TV simply for 3D.

3D gaming is unnecessary and a waste of money.

Hmm for me it still seems like 2D 3D. I reckon i'm going to wait for full immersion VR, if i live to see it, when I can turn around and see what's behind me, even if it means wearing a sci-fi headset and walking into the wall of my room or something. i want to be in another world not just looking through the window.

I'm honestly shocked that this 3D fad hasn't died out yet. I can understand children being amused by 3D effects but adults? I don't get it

Will 3D ever get cheaper in the long long future?
