Predict the Score: FEAR 2

Evening gents, I hope you're all bright eyed busy tailed after Australia Day yesterday.

Now, ahem, I would like people to guess what score FEAR 2 will get on Gamespot and what you think it deserves.

I think the game will get 8.5+ on Gamespot given the first game got 9.1 (I can't believe its a point under HL2 but that just my 2 cents).

EDIT: The person who gets the correct score will be showered in glory. And you will also be treated to my very own brand of frosty chocolate ice-cream.

I agree, most of the great games coming out this year are sequeals so if FEAR 2 does flop well, I'll be tracking games a little more carefully. But I think FEAR 2 will be a good solid game, most of the negativity coming from the demo is either petty, doesn't make sense, or just unwarranted hatred towrads FEAR 2 for some reason or another. Monolith has never failed me before, can't imagine they would start with this.

8.5 isn't a bad guess for GS.

To me, some technical issues aside, from the demo it feels like an 7.5-8.0 game which is actually disappointing. As biggest_loser mentioned, this was a top anticipated game for a number of people this year.

Not to say it can't be fun though, at least in some respects, it most certainly can. Scoring in the 8's if that truly is the case isn't bad by any means.

FEAR 2 has to be better then FEAR.The first FEAR was made in a hurry.They didnt have time to think about the details,but in FEAR 2 they had plenty of time.The HUD is great.You all think that the demo is the same as the original.That is so wrong!!! Just play FEAR 2 when it realeses and you will find the difference between the demo.Demo is great and I think the score of FEAR 2 will be high.Alpha_Spirit

What it adds - the more capacious level design, the daylight, the mech bits, the cover system - doesn't amount to much more than a garnish of new ideas on an old chicken salad of a game. But as I said, the magic of F.E.A.R. is certainly in position. That basic pleasure of time slowing, of watching a death ballet unfold as glass shatters, masonry crumbles and bodies cartwheel with morbid elegance - it's all intact, and it's as incredible to behold as ever.PCZoneUK
