stalker, defintly not the other two there great games, stalkers a great game but the fact the dynaimic lighting just dosent work without lagg is poor. such a shame.

I'm still not sure if i like STALKER or not. At times it seemed like a good game. But on other occasions it just annoyed me. I haven't played it for a while now, its just too frustrating.
I was going to say Big Rigs, but I'm not even sure it had a chance to be optimised.
As for games that were actually somewhat playable, I'd go with Black and White 2. While the original game was also buggy, after the first year of patches it turned into a very stable and enjoyable game. BW2 still just has issues all over the place that affect framerates, sound, stability and gameplay (sometimes can't even close the game without crashing).
Neverwinter nights 2 and Stalker... stalker runs good on my system but I feel that it could run better... Last time I played NWN2 it ran like poo poo(scientific term)... I don't know if some of the patches they have released have fixed anything but it felt like it was imbedded deep with in the game code and no patch would fix it... both games don't look great by any means and in no way should run like crap on any system made after 2004...

My friend said Half Life 2 was crap because Valve didn't optimize it at all. I was kind of looking at him inquiringly because I could get it to run on a computer with only 128 MB of ram and a 32MB ATI card. It turned out to be a ton of viruses and spyware so now I always make sure to check for that before I call a game poorly optimized because it could sometimes not be the developers fault.
GRAW on the PC i mean the squad mates would walk right into a hail of enemy bullets almost every mission. As if that wasn't bad enough there were also problems with getting the mouse properly over the target it would always be a bit to the right or left.
And just to rub salt and all of the above once I actually got a shot off it tended to fly off at what looked like a 45 degree angle and not related at all to where i was pointing my gun.
Oh well we can only hope for a better take on the PC version of GRAW 2 but with the same people GRIN still in the drivers seat and ubisoft not really giving a rats ass about PC market anymore I'm not too hopeful.
If I had to vote from those three choices I would pick Splinter Cell(3 and 4). They don't give you a chance to change your settings. I've never played other two but I'll get R6 Vegas. Gothic 3 is alright. Pretty neat game with bunch of bugs.
Neverwinter Nights 2 I had to do a lot of tweaking for a game that generally doesn't look good at all.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines: It seemed the longer that I played the game in one sitting, the slower it would go until I was just playing a slide show and had to restart it over again.
best and only choice that wins this thread, terrible performance on high end machines, buggier than just about any game out there. Terrible optimisation.
